What types of food work best, ie, stay warmest in this? For example,only soups/stews? Or does non-liquid food like pasta in tomato sauce stay hot too?

These Stanley jars are brilliant. I use them to keep food samples hot when I do farmers markets. Non liquid food stays nice and warm as well, and even nearly dry food like fried food. Pasta in tomato sauce would stay hot at least 12 hours and probably more if you don't open the jar too many times. Have been using the same 3 jars regularly for more than a year now. They need careful cleaning and air drying on a rack after use, but they are absolutely fantastic!
