I have been eating this ontbijt koek for a very long time now. This particular brand is spicy, rich, moist, piquant, and unashamedly luscious! I recommend this to all - be they Nederlanders, Belgen, or whomever.....heel lekker! Wonderfully tasty! Just be sure to spend a few weeks in advance on a very low- calorie diet, once the koek arrives, no self-control will be possible, or even desirable. This Dutch version of Gingerbread is extremely tasty, and well-worth the effort required to locate this tasty treat.I wish you much enjoyment of your Dutch breakfast cake (Ontbijt Koek). This is a delicious, heavy, dense, sweet and not-too-spicy ginger breakfast cake. It's wonderful served with hot tea. It would do well served with a complementary flavor of ice cream.
