Great tap and lots of fun for kids to use it
Installed and so far working great. I think it will definitely save on water use. Kids absolutely love it. As you don’t touch it at all it’s always clean.

Very Disappointed
The battery came for about 11 months and since then i have changed 4 batteries in the past one month. I ordered grohe battery from amazon paying about £32 still runs for a week or two and stops. I am left with no option but to change the tap now. Not to forget all the running around and wait times before i can get a plumber to do the job!! My bathroom is without a tap now!

Good but not suitable for every situation
Nice looking tap. Very light and no hint of brass in it. Works well however I would say this is fine in say a cloakroom where the amount of water used is small. I would not put this on a main bathroom sink as the period of time it is activated to produce water is far too short. Using on where you brush your teeth would be tedious.

Rip off
So brought this after 10 months stopped working. Paid £187. Had utter nightmare from Amazon to return it as was from Amazon Europe. Manage to get it returned and refund was short £35. Going to phone Amazon to get this sorted in the morning but honestly product failed from standard domestic use in under a year, I would not recommend. Especially as Amazon seem to be stitching me up regards what I paid and what they refunded me. Total rip off.

The unit Stopped working :-(
We bought two units for our bathrooms. One of them failed within the first year. So, we were given a replacement. The replaced tap stopped working, within an year of installation. Now, since there is no warranty this is all up in the air :-(. We replaced the battery (Grohe), without any luck. The other unit is still working fine without any issues, though.

Battery Costs - tap subscription model - Solved
The Item so far is good and working (2 months). Its made out of fiber glass plastic, but looks the same as standard stainless. One of the issues I found is a battery - its need new every month or so to operate and its a quite expensive photo battery - cost 5-7 pounds (and grohe one £30: ). But I found a solution and bought AA x 4 Open Battery Holder Box 150mm Wires Leads: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00UNH5KKU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1Connecting wires is easy and now requires 4 AA batteries (cost together about £1) that provide the same 6V required for the tap.Just wonder why Grohe went to so expensive battery solution? I believe to sell their own batteries at £30 each- that are rebranded GPs or Vartas? Kind of "clever" subscription model for the taps that cost with their original batteries another £360 every year:)Grohe was doing amazing taps for years. I also bought and immediately returned their bathroom sink. It appeared to be very cheep looking, yellowish, uneven piece of something - with "made in Egypt" label. Grohe - where and why you are running from original German standards, quality and honesty?
