I used this product and the HipSlimmer corset.I was a 4-6 before my first pregnancy, and so I bought the xs-s, expecting it to fit pretty tight.My third week into wearing it, ((and the HipSlimmer)) the side pieces were practically touching in the middle and I was still wearing my medium maternity pants after just having baby #2.The band continues to tighten in compression throughout wearing it. I wore it overnight a few times, and sometimes when I would be sitting for long periods.It was quite comfortable to wear, even when it became tight after a couple of hours.Since I used it AND the HipSlimmer, I can't honestly say if it would have worked by itself. It was certainly easier to sit, or walk while wearing. If you're in tune with your body you can feel it working, and it's great to help keep your hips correctly positioned throughout the eight weeks of recovery, when your body is producing the relaxing hormone to help realign your skeletal structure, after carrying a baby for several months.I definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone interested. Mommy, you deserve to look and feel great, if you're contemplating it, do it.

I bought this as a baby shower gift, and the recipient was extremely pleased with it. She has not used it yet, but I used one and loved it. I felt that it helped me to return to my pre-baby size much quicker than without it. It is well made and compact. The material is super soft, and I did not have any issues with it feeling overly hot or uncomfortable. It also helped to stabilize my c-section insision, and was much more comfortable than the bulky wrap that the hospital provided. I would recommend that you wear it a bit loose at first and gradually tighten it. Also, if you are going to be sitting for long periods of time, do not cinch it down too much. That may cause it to roll a bit at the top. Overall, a really great product.

I had bought this item because I used it with my first pregnancy which I actually bought at a garage sale and it helped me so much so thinking it be the same I treated myself with a new belt since I couldn't find my old one. The product does compress and I use it off and on because I'm currently breast feeding and I have to take it off due to it gets in the way of my baby , it pokes him if I wear it and the Velcro is rough and it also pinches and nudges in my stomach when sitting down , I will continue to use it since I do have another month to go , I will say it helps make my hips feel better because it compresses and I don't feel like my hip bones will suddenly give out , I did push out an 8lb baby OUCH

2 stars because I thought this product was 'gimicky' and yet... I had to try it. I put it on 3 days pp, and found that it made my hips very sore - like, they definitely compressed, but noticed it increased my bleeding. So, I took a break from it - and did it again at 2 weeks pp... i just found it incredibly uncomfortable, but the product definitely made me feel like it was working. I did not use it consistently and sort of gave up on it. It just wasn't for me.Also, prior to purchase, I asked my docs about this product and they had never heard of it, said it couldn't hurt, but nature would keep me where I was supposed to be. The part that worried me was that some of these reviews said "smaller than pre-pregnancy"... Maybe that's because they either lost a ton of weight post baby or because this product really worked and I didn't want to do that. I like my hip size... Something else I considered was that after baby #1, I was back in my pre pregnancy jeans around 6-8 months... meaning my hips were the same size after that period of time without this product. I believe that your pants don't fit after pregnancy (in my experience) because of the baby weight. Now that I have had baby #2 and am 7 weeks PP, (just like before) my pants still don't fit, and I did NOT use this product well enough to say that is the reason.You just can't do a test with this product to see if it works or doesn't, and I was definitely scared to overdo it. (How would that affect my balance or idk.. ?) The good news is, the doc said if I used it, and it did shrink smaller than previously, it would not impact future pregnancies because your body relaxes back out for the next baby to go through..Oh, and immediately after pregnancy I was like a 42" around the hips, and at 6wks PP I am 40"... Again, I totally think this is because of the extra LB's I've got, and not because my bones stayed put.

I love this thing. I’ve ordered every waste trainer, shaper whatever under the sun. This hip one works! I had my baby 4 weeks ago and my hips hurt from all the.... baby stuff. So this thing can get very tight which I need to put my hips where they’re supposed to be.This is great for small people. The one sized fits all does not fit people my size.Anyway I just ordered the charcoal waistbandand is amazingly

This little guy is ok but see if you can score the big thick granny Velcro post surgery braces for free at the hospital and use those OVER your shrinx. It’s annoying but the will work in tandem with your relaxin to take your hips down an inch or more after delivery.

Im three months postpartum and in 10 days this has shrunk my hips by 2 inches. Super quality! I wear it under my clothes
