Works as advertised!
This is a nifty little product! It works as advertised and I even have received compliments about it. Close friends have said that if I hadn't told them then they would've thought this might of came from an actual car alarm system! That's exactly what I wanted to hear. One thing to note : unfortunately my device stopped working after a few months but the great people @Koscar Store and their exceptional customer service have agreed to replace it for me! I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone to do business with. I'm an extremely happy customer for sure. Thank you Kosar!

5 stars to "meh"
Wanted to try it out to see if it has that deceptive effect and it's very close to the blue flash my real car alarms has. Easy to operate - there's a very tiny switch on the side to turn the strobing on or off. According to instructions even if the switch is set to ON" the device will not flash in bright daylight, but will begin flashing in the dark. Very soon after taking it out of the package I tacked it onto my dash with just 25 minutes of sun exposure and it flashed the entire night. Looks like it flashes once every 8 seconds or so, to conserve battery power.________________Update December 16, 2017Okay 6 months of use. How's it faring?Fail. It had been failing about 2 months in, but kept flashing for shorter and shorter durations even after exposure to full sunlight. Temps would range from 72 to 80 during daytime, and it was never even close to freezing at night.I concluded a final test just today. I had left the device under 6 to 8 hours of sun for the past eight days to see if it could be charged to flash like the day I bought it. The switch was set to OFF during the charging so as not to waste any power. After I brought it inside it flashed brightly.... for about 4 minutes, then dead.

Let's be honest. It works perfectly for me.... Maybe not everyone else.
This dummy security light works great, trust me. I've had it about two weeks now and it has served its purpose very well. I have to park my car on a DARK street at night and this gives me the peace of mind i need. The device can be charged by a mini USB plug (included, but no wall adaptor) or by direct sunlight and has an on/off switch for convenience. I've forgotten several times to turn off the switch and the LED has never ran out of power. The bulb is bright enough to be seen through my tinted windows, it is definitely not weak or dim by any means, but it could be a bit brighter, IMO.Here's what's lacking. The design is awful. It looks exactly like what it is: a dummy security LED. This is fine for me because the interior of my Renegade is solid black with tinted windows, so i myself can hardly tell that the light is coming from something that looks like a dummy security LED. That being said, don't place this haphazardly on the dash of your '99 Honda CR-V because you won't be fooling' anyone, and your car will be stolen, and the dummy LED left where you parked. The adhesive tape SUCKS... SUUUUUUUUUCKS. I found the device on the floor of my car the next morning after installing it. Instead of doing something stupid like setting it at the edge of my windshield on the top of my dash for all to see what kind of idiot i am, I set it up to the left of the steering wheel in line with several buttons and controls. At night, it blends right in and since the interior of my car is so freakin dark, i am confident that a would-be thief would simply move on after seeing the blinking blue light. But mounting the LED like this meant the device needed to be stuck on vertically. Welp, I found it on the foormat the next morning. At least it was still blinking. It's not like that part of my dash was slick (it's textured) or had any oily/waxy auto product on the surface. I used 70% rubbing alcohol to thoroughly clean the surface (i did this about 3 times, allowing the surface to dry in-between) prior to mounting the LED but the adhesive still failed. I decided to go to Lowes where I picked up the red roll of Scotch Mount Extreme Indoor/Outdoor double sided mounting tape. I figured this would be the best option for fluctuating temperatures inside a car. It was a $10 roll of tape but I went for it because hey, its a lot cheaper than having a real security system installed... which is exactly why you're here, right? So,first I had to clean off the original adhesive tape on the LED because leaving it on and adding a second layer of double sided adhesive tape meant the LED would sit about half a centimeter or more above the surface of the dash. Remember, I'm trying to fool a would-be thief, not make him laugh at me. Btw, did i mention how much the adhesive tape sucked? Once it was off, there was a terrible residue that WOULD NOT come off with rubbing alcohol. I used an old pair of denim jeans, dragged the LED across the pant legs, and that actually worked like a charm. After half an hour of elbow grease, the dummy led was clean. The scotch extreme tape is currently holding it up in my car. What else? There were a few scuffs on the plastic body of the LED upon arrival.Yeah, I guess I'd buy it again.

Works Pretty Good as Described
Solar powered flashing Blue LED theft deterrent. The idea is great but the LED is not very bright. I'm using it but it could be improved on a bit. I had one I made that flashed so bright it could be seen on my dashboard a block away. This one is barely visible when looking directly in the car.

Great little deterrent
My car was recently broken into and I wanted a "fake alarm" to deterr the local scumbags. I placed it in my dash and it turned right on. Let me tell you, that little blinking blue light has worked like a charm so far! It's solar powered, so as long as it gets some sun it shouldn't need to be plugged in. I haven't had to plug it in since installing it, and I'm in cloudy WA!

Great Deterrent!
I’ve bought 4 of these little guys in the past handful of years and my original one from 2019 is still working just fine! Each of my cars has one front and center on the dash and it works like a charm. Easy to install, doesn’t require batteries, doesn’t need maintenance, just open the box and install! For the cost, it’s one of the best anti-theft devices on the market in my opinion and you’ll get many years out of this one small purchase!
