This calendar has become a daily ritual I actually look forward to. Every morning I tear off a new page and get hit with a word that’s either unfamiliar, oddly specific, or just plain fun. The mix of definitions, pronunciation, sample usage, and etymology makes each entry feel complete, not just a dictionary blurb.It’s surprisingly satisfying—like brain coffee. Some words are obscure enough that I’ll never use them, but that’s part of the charm. Gave this calendar to my daughter because she loves inspirational quotes. This pretty calendar does not disappoint. She loves it.

I like this best of the various word of the day calendars. The word choice is a good mix of moderately familiar to pretty obscure words. The definitions are comprehensive and there is usually an my example sentence or quote. I especially appreciate the etymology section.I homeschool my kids (6th thru 10th grade) and often use these words in their vocab lessons.

If your child has a homework desk at home, or is home schooled, this is a great addition to that area. Learning a new word a day is a fantastic way to increase their vocabulary and build their communication and writing skills. Keep the torn off pages to do a little quiz at the end of the month or week!

What can I say...this is awesome ! It's exactly what I was looking for. No special reason...just to expand my Vocab a bit. And let me say...each day there is a different Word and some of these Words I have Never heard of before ! I suppose one is never to old for learning. I absolutely Reco this If your thinking the same thing.

Gives a word a day with a definition and a sample sentence. As a bonus you also get the date and day too! So far I’m not so good at remembering all the words and definitions though.

I bought this to improve my son’s vocab for the ACT but there are a lot of really advanced words. Not sure if it will help the ACT but definitely exposes you to new words.
