Does anyone have any experience or advice for the usefulness in applying Wilt Pruf to ornamental kale and cabbage to protect them during the winter

We have used it only on hydrangeas to protect their buds. We live on a large pond where it is very windy. Don't think it would hurt to try it on some ornamental cabbage, might prolong their season.

How often do you need to apply Wilt-Pruf in the Midwest on zone 6 ?

We apply it to hydrangeas once, after they have lost their leaves near the end of October . We live near the water in southern Rhode Island.

What is the actual shelf life of the product? Unmixed. I do understand that it lasts longer than one year (two winters) but how long, exactly? Thanks.

It is really indefinite. As long as the cap is tightly sealed so that the product does not evaporate, it will last for several year/ many years. It does not degrade in the container. It must be stirred well before use.

When spring has come how do you remove wilt pruf from evergreens?

you don't have to remove it. it will go away on it own with time and rainfall
