Love it!
Couldn't agree more with Uncle Daudi in the previous review. This is a delightful slush-fest from the ever-inventive Mr Cross. Lovely arrangements of new songs and old classics for accoustic guitar and piano. The album was actually recorded in 2007, so it's surprising that it's only received a UK release now considering its quality (especially in comparison with the usual dreadful Christmas offerings).Think I'd go for port rather than sherry though Uncle D ;-)Merry Christmas!

Excellent alternative non-commercial christmas album...
As a long term Christopher Cross fan, I bought this on the strength of hearing one song on Steve Wright on Radio 2. We (the wife and I) were looking for some background atmosphere music for the Christmas season and decided to buy this - it's wonderful! Live Aid it isn't; so if you're looking for the same old pop stuff you'll hear all December in every shop and on every commercial radio station, then this is most definitely not for you. However, if you want something warm, homely and innocent to set the scene for those relaxing evenings - and daytimes - in with the family then treat yourself to this album. It is beautifully put together with no pretence to be anything other than it is; a relaxed, well produced collection of contemporary Christmas songs. Micheal Omartian on the piano is his usual brilliance and the space in the arrangements allow plenty of atmosphere. The recording is first class with no gratuitous flamboyance; perfect for background music or pure indulgance after a large meal....So grab yourself a sherry and some freinds and enjoy the best non-commercial album I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy - it's pure understated class...
