I really like these devices. They're small and very lightweight (they seem to consist of just a PC board and a speaker). Sound quality is really good. There's no battery option, but that would increase the size and weight.You can pick one of 6 channels if you want to be able to call a specific unit. Example: channel 1 for the kitchen, 2 for bedroom #1, 3 for bedroom #2, 4 for the garage, etc.Alternately, assign the same channel to all units so when you call, they all ring and the other person can answer wherever they are.You can monitor a room without being heard. My favorite feature is the two way communication. You can call another room, and when someone answers, you both can talk at the same time. It basically works as a speakerphone! It's better than VOX because unlike VOX, it does not cut out the first word (it does not have VOX).What I don't like is the sound volume. If someone is hard of hearing, they might have trouble. That's why I removed one star.

This intercom is great! I purchased it when I was having a knee replacement because my home is very large and I was certain my husband wouldn’t be able to hear me when I needed his assistance. I got the 3 pack (now I wish I got 4) an plugged them in around the house. Easy to use right out of the box. They work perfectly, and no shouting for help. Now that I’m recovered, I decided to just keep using them. I love them!

They work well but there were no Instructions.

My husband is out in the shop most of the day. I shoot him messages throughout the day. Dinner is ready, I'm heading out. I could use my cell phone, but then I have to hope he notices the message alert. With this I usually get a quick response. My home is almost 3000 sq ft and his shop is out back, the sound is clear. Works for us.

Love that I can use these throughout the house to easily talk with the family. I wish the monitored option allowed two way communication, instead I can only use it to listen in on my daughter while she’s playing. Otherwise it’s a good system that’s reliably works and provides clear audio when transmitting.

First of all, number ONE is the SOUND QUALITY. Excellent! Superior to others we have tried. You do need to hit the call button and it beeps for the receiver. But sometimes that's good because if you just start talking without getting the receiver's attention first, they might miss your message. But the sound quality is excellent. As good as an FM radio. And the price was right from Amazon. I highly recommend these units.
