This little lantern is flat out AMAZING.
As an avid camper I'm ALWAYS looking for smaller, lighter, and more capability - and the Fenix CL26R Pro Camping Lantern provides all three.Smaller than a 12 ounce can of soda, the Fenix CL26R Pro Camping Lantern will completely replace at least one quality lantern four times its size.It has multiple lighting modes including three 360° brightness levels, a forward facing light, and three downward facing levels of light. Its 5,000 mAh battery is USB-C rechargeable and offers 650 lumens at full output in 360 mode, coupled with full downward illumination, for 10 hours. And you likely won't need the full 500 lumens - while 500 lumens might not sound like much, the diffuser is great at sending that light out.I don't use the max 360 degree output because 500 lumens is pretty bright, but at the medium (200 lumen) setting, the lantern does go a full 13 hours, as claimed by Fenix - found that out in a recent power failure. In a campsite, usually it's the front (25 lumen) or the low 360 degree (50 lumen) light in use coupled with the 50 or 150 lumen down-facing light. That combo seems to be the sweet spot in lighting a small/moderate sized campsite without being too harsh on the eyes.Add a high capacity power bank to top off the battery, or a few 21700 replacement batteries, and you're good to go.I bought one of these lanterns to test, but having used it, I'm buying several more... for myself and as gifts for others.I wish I could give it more than five stars - it's a terrific little lantern designed to output from 5 lumens of light to 650 lumens in every configuration imaginable.

Most Useful Lantern
A friend recommended this to me and I could not be happier with the product. I wanted a lantern mostly for camping. The variety of modes make it perfect for however you want to use it. The bottom light is great for hanging in the tent or, with the magnet, it can stick to the hatch of my car if unloading in the dark. You can direct the main lantern light in a single direction or 360 adding to its versatility. It gets incredibly bright, and I usually only need the lowest couple of settings. On top of it's effectiveness and versatility as a light it can also function as a power bank in a pinch. I haven't needed to use this function yet, but it's a nice safety net. It has been durable this season and hope to see it last many more. As a bonus, I purchased a headlamp that uses the same rechargeable battery, which allows me to swap batteries for whatever light source I need if a battery goes out. This lantern really packs a punch for it's size and weight, and has proven useful beyond what I imagined needing it for!

Compact lantern that throws a lot of light.
Compact lantern that throws a lot of light. I have two, I keep one in my hall closet for emergencies and another in my car. Uses a 21700 battery and holds a charge for along time and lasts for a weekend of camping. I really appreciate the downward light for use when hanging, Would recommend for a emergency light or for camping.

My new favorite Lantern
As an obsessed flashlight addict, this is my new favorite lantern. It's perfect for camping. Checks every box you cab imagine. Small, portable, replaceable 21700 battery, comes with carabiner, 360 illumination, comes with downward facing led as well. And it has 360 red-light mode. That would be great to leave it on all nite and not too disruptive. I'm going to get a few more because I like it that much.

Perfected
I have two of the older version. I like them and they serve well. This version has just a few tweaks that make it better.More power, quicker to change settings and light throw. The only thing I miss is the size. The old one is more compact. The new one isn’t much bigger but it would have been nice to be as small.
