All the 1 star reviews are from people who didn't understand what they were buying. This isn’t a rattle-fixer. It’s a sound barrier, designed to absorb airborne noise, not stop your rusty door panel from buzzing. If you want to kill vibration, get some butyl mats like every audio installer on Earth already knows. This stuff works exactly as advertised.

This works good as a fairly inexpensive way to cut down on noise passing through walls. I installed it against existing 1/2 inch drywall, used UberQuite MLV Nails to secure it and Marvel Mute MLV tape for the seams. After that, I installed 5/8 inch drywall to close it out. This is a heavy product, use a minimum of two people. How do I know it works: While my wife and I were doing the TV install, passing wires through, and working from the other room, we had to raise our voices in order to communicate.

We had to take our place down to the studs so we the opportunity to try to soundproof our mother in law rental unit from the main house. We put this in place over what were once doorways between the two units. We put it over the insulation under the drywall. We used the green tacks you can buy here on Amazon to put in place. We then used green goo sealant on the drywall. It absolutely shut down the sound, which has been an issue in the past. Its heavy but very easy to cut to size with scissors or a utility knife. We are also using in a bathroom adjacent to the other unit which has sound issues. It might seem expensive but it's actually a very cost effective way to soundproof or drastically cut sound. We used Rockwool Safe and Sound insulation, another great product for reducing sound in a home or office. You can get the insulation at Home Depot or Lowe's.

I feel it works well, but expensive. Put in my rafters inside drop ceiling, seems to quiet things up. Bought more to wrap a drain pipe.I does smell (off gas) for 24 hrs after opening.

Had to cut in sections and stack, but still didn't do anything to improve sound vibration from the floor. Awkward, at best.

Solid, tough, heavy duty, good value. Fit my use case very well. Used to insulate auto floor panels.
