Build quality on this is amazing! It has a great weight to it which in turn feels perfect in the hand, at least for me. Super smooth when using. Had a bit of a squeak to it, a little baby oil (no diddy) does the trick! Definitely recommend!

Amazing for practice

I wanted one of these mainly just as something to occupy myself when anxious at my desk, and it's perfectly suitable for that! Feels well weighted, the texture is nice. It closes a little rough, but overall construction seems good and like it won't come loose any time soon. Can't really speak to it for any actual knife training.

While I haven't been practicing martial arts regularly for a few years now, I was practicing regularly for a few years, including kali practice. While I was doing kali practice, we got practice with knife fighting drills, which is one of the big reasons I wanted to get this practice knife. I really like how smooth this butterfly practice knife is when you open & close it. I also like the weight of it. This is everything that a "real" knife has, with the exception of a sharpened blade, so this makes an excellent training knife. You get all the benefits of being able to practice knife fighting skills & techniques, without the possibility of getting cut. This is a really great practice knife.

The screws started to come undone and it fells apart, it was really easy to put back together just an annoyance, also the close mechanism stop working as well over time because of the spring. After about a week I couldn’t close the knife anymore with the metal piece. Really cool to just dip your toes in the water though. If your experienced don’t buy this.
