Game changer
Worth every penny. I had a pair of nice shoes that would constantly rub when they were new. Was dubious that these would work, but they eliminated the pain straight away, were easy to fit and stay in place well.Super functional, stop the pain and easy to use. Saved my shoes from the back of the cupboard!

A littl tricky to peel off backing. Expensive. Worked well.
Expensive for what they are. Tricky to peel off backing before being fixed into place inside heel of shoe. They have been effective and pretty hard wearing. In my case I used the patch to reduce friction between shoe and a heel prominence. The reason they probably worked (in my view) is as follows: I was getting a heel blister possibly because a prominence on my heel meant that all the friction required to lift the shoe heel off the ground at each step was concentarted locally on the prominence and therefore focused too much of the shear force between my outer skin and subcutaneous area, leading to a breakdown of fascia and consequent blister. By reducing friction between shoe and heel prominence, the task of lifting the shoe heel at each step was transferred from the prominence to a wider area of my heel so that shear forces were more distributed and less likely to break down the fascia below outer skin.

Blister Prevention Patches - work!
Blister Prevention PatchesI bought these after suffering with recurring heel blisters. I read lots around the subject on a blister prevention website which offered great advice and a variety of options to try including these. I decided they were worth a go.Wow! What a difference - firstly, you need to understand what this product is. The patch does not provide any cushioning and is a very thin, smooth patch fitted directly to the inner heel area on the shoe which effectively reduces the friction which causes the skin to blister. (Counter intuitive to me initially as I felt the firmer the shoe gripped my foot the better!) By allowing a small amount of movement between the shoe and sock the friction is dramatically lessened. I generally walk approx 4.5 miles each morning and today I was able to do so for the first time in ages without any discomfort. This appears to be the answer I was looking for. Do your research and I hope it helps you too.

Item very overpriced
The item is very overpriced. Nearly £12 for a little strip of duck tape. The adhesive is not very strong and peeled off after a couple of days. I changed it for actual duck tape at the back of my trainers. Works much better as duck tape adhesive is much stronger and much cheaper. Very disappointed in this product!

Decent product but it does not last very long.
I admit when it comes to taking off and putting on my trainers I rarely bother with the laces. As a result the backs of my trainers become worn out thus reducing the life span of them. These prevention patches were bought with the intention of covering up the worn area to extend the life of my shoes.I found these patches to be very good and purchased more of them for a new pair of trainers. When worn they feel very slippy on your heals and it is surprisingly comfortable. However if you do not remove your trainers correctly, the adhesive eventually peels away causing discomfort. A more permanent version of this product (affixed with glue or sewn in) would be a better alternative as for the price this product is a bit expensive.I'd recommend this to anyone who suffers from blisters when walking long distances as this would be perfect to apply to your walking boots and would make a great addition to your first aid kit.

Work well
Second set of these I have bought. They are expensive but do work - provided you apply them correctly. I doubt they would be as good on trainer or anything with a soft material heel. I use mine on leather golf shoes and the adhesion is good.

Blister free heals at last!
Does what they say they do. I like walking about 30 to 60 miles a week for low intensity exercise, but I used to have problems with blisters on my heels because of friction, occasionally even with my double-heeled socks. These have completely resolved the issues I was having in all the shoes/trainers I used for walking, to the point I can even wear socks, which would normally guarantee blisters with long walks, without any hint of soreness.Minor quibble was not a little difficulty in getting them in the right place on the first pair of shoes I used them on and that they do seem a little pricey for what they are. But at the end of the day paying a tenner for blister free heels for three months, is cheaper that all the plasters and creams I was paying for before hand.

Very good product.
Like others i was not sure if these would work or not. I was doing walks of between 10-15 miles and getting blisters at the back of my heals. Not being a regular walker this probably was to be expected. I did the full 25 miles of the Yorkshire three peaks yesterday using these and no blisters !They could be a bit cheaper but you cant knock how good they are.I can 100 % recommend them.
