🚁 Elevate Your Drone Game!
The 8520 Coreless Motor set features high-performance 8.5 x 20mm brushed motors, designed for DIY micro quadcopters like the QX95 and QX110. With a 1.0mm shaft diameter and included 75mm propellers, this set ensures optimal thrust and power for an exhilarating flying experience.

Using for quadcopter prototype
I’ve been using multiple sets of these motors while prototyping a drone I’m making fully from scratch. They take a lot of abuse from this process since the craft crashes and doesn’t detect motor stalling in its current design. I’ve only had a couple break or have welded brushes from stalling so far.I’ve gotten the craft to lift off at 60g and it lifts off at under half the max duty cycle with a 48g craft at full battery. The motors and propellers are consistent across batches and can be mixed with one another safely.A couple of technical details:Shorted at 3.7V, they draw about 4.5A. This is above their rated steady state current draw of 1.6A but I used some of the motors that I tested like that in a flying craft so they weren’t ruined for having that current temporarily.I estimate that a full set of these motors can generate 120-130g thrust, or about 30-32g per motor. You’d want a craft 35-70g, ideally 50 or lower as mine ultimately were, so that the motors aren’t running above their rating during typical operation. The motors themselves weigh about 20g as a set or 5g each.I paired these with a LiPo battery that is rated to source 10A of current continuously. No issues with that combination so far.

Great for Small Projects Using an Electric Motor and Propeller
Great motor and propeller combination for the cost. I am using them for a hovercraft STEM project for school aged kids when they come to my place of employment for Bring Your Child to Work Day later this month.

Don’t hurt yourself
Very very strong motors. **Be careful to keep your fingers clear from the blades**They lift more than expected.

Powerfull little motors
I'm building a little balsa wood model with these things. They have more than enough power for my needs.

The motors work fine
I didn't. Dislike any thing I liked every thing every motor work fine

Faulty
They do not generate enough lift for themselves and the motor wires fell apart in the first 15 minutes of usage.
