Great quality
I have assorted oil paints, some were expensive and are excellent quality, and these ones which I'd class as good, middle of the road quality.I'm very pleased with them, I think they're great.I feel I can experiment with these without worrying too much about the price. The colour is lovely, rich, and the consistency is creamy. They're easy to use, I've since bought more in different colours.Happy to recommend.

W&N Winton is a great oil paint at a great price.
I bought these as my research showed the Winton oil range is very thick, like pro artist grade oil paint, which is great for Impasto painting so you can see all the brush marks or use for painting with a palette knife. It's great for Impasto!! I've used it with medium to make it looser and that works great too. I spoke with W&N and they advise you can use these with the Artists' range (their most expensive range) so you can start on these and upgrade, or, use these for the main colours you'll use a lot and use the Artists' wider range of colours and get smaller tubes, but they are considerably more expensive. Not sure I'll even start using the Artists' range as these are perfect so far. You'll have about 3 days working with it (fully wet) then it starts to get a bit dry/tacky and apparently dries fully in 4-5 days. I'd say that's spot on too. Great paint for the price but expected with a great brand name like W&N.
