RTIC 8 Can Everyday Cooler, Soft Sided Portable Insulated Cooling for Lunch, Beach, Drink, Beverage, Travel, Camping, Picnic, for Men and Women

The media could not be loaded. Honestly haven't used it yet. Kinda wanted to show off. First impressions: My only concern is the zipper. It feels like the only part I'll need to be careful with handling. There is only one zipper for the main compartment. Otherwise build quality feels solid. The top is hard shell, but the rest is supported by the canvas exterior and (foam?) insulation. The bottom seems to be made of a water proof material and is the second stiffest part. Liner material is like vinyl and can potentially rip from sharp edges. I like the side pockets (they can fit a can each) and the inside pouch on the lid is perfect for utensils. Front zipper pocket doesn't have much space. It's more for like flat objects. It's certainly NOT a flimsy bag overall. The strap is pretty nice too very comfy and decent build. I'll comment sometime later on the insulation performance. I repurposed some cheap pannier hooks because I wanted a separate lunch bag as I don't need extra cargo aside from my main bag.

So I needed to upgrade my previous lunch box/ cooler. Not because it failed me but I needed a little more than it could provide. It is over 30 years old.I am a fan of RITC so the choices were easier. I needed something that could hold more ice packs and still have room for more. I found this. I ordered this and the small 2 pack ice pack set with this.So, this comes and be stored in a small package.Once opened- I can carry the 2 aforementioned ice packs, 3 cans of Coke, a 12 ounce bottle of Gatorade, 2 Uncrustables, and an Igloo ice pack. I use the Igloo as a middle layer which helps with insulation and temperature maintenance.I call it as a 8 hour lunch box due to if you work longer- you might want to carry more.Overall performance, it maintains a level of coolness for the majority of a 8 hour shift. It is easy to carry fully loaded without worry of something breaking but it comes with a sling.I love the bottle opener that is included. There are outside pockets to store extras like cutlery.It is pretty much waterproof with the exception of the natural weak point of the zipper- but it is not condensation proof because I find plenty of condensation on the bottom outside of the box but that is expected ( basic thermodynamics). Don’t confuse condensation with leaking.It is a soft bag, so long term durability- I say pretty good since there isn’t anything to really break with the box itself. The handles are sewn in so there might be a weakness in the stitching over time but nothing that would affect the overall performance of the box.I would buy this.

Keeps my lunch cold in the truck. I paired with two of the RTIC small freezer packs. put one on the bottom and one on top. Holds my lunch and breakfast at work. Also handy and the right size to throw some drinks in the passenger seat while driving around town. Very pleased

This cooler with ice and a long lasting ice pack takes my cans from warm to ice cold in six minutes. It does not leak which was my primary concern. I love this cooler. I give it a four because the ice melts after three hours so it is best with cans. However, everything is still really cold after 5 hours. This suits me since it is only for short trips. Love all the side pockets.

This cooler is AMAZING!! Bought this to put my breast milk in as I was traveling overseas to see my family with my baby for the first time. She is EBF, but I wanted to take some milk with us to start a stash for when my mom was going to watch her while my husband &I went out. I also bought the 5 pack set of fillable ice packs to use. With a travel time of about 23hrs total, I wanted something that was going to keep my BM FROZEN.I asked my FB group what coolers anyone recommend &some mentioned the other well-known brand, but I wasn’t about to pay that price for a cooler I was only going to use maybe a few times. So I went with this option. I had maybe 5-6 bags of BM, as well as the 5 ice packs &everything fit in there perfectly! Even better, when I arrived in Japan, all my milk was still frozen SOLID. If you’ve ever defrosted BM, you know it’s very easy &fast to melt. It was opened twice during which we had to go through security. On our way back from our trip, I simply just folded up the cooler &packed it in our suitcase. Absolutely LOVE this cooler &would recommend 100 times over if you need to keep BM cold, frozen, or just don’t want to pay an arm &a leg for the other brand. The quality of the bag itself was also exceptional. Just an awesome cooler all around &not a single complaint.

This bag is large enough to pack my breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages with room to spare. I needed a lunchbox that would keep things cold for 12+ hours, as I pack my lunch bag at 4:30 in the morning. By the time I get home at 4:30 in the evening the Sport Temp ice pack I use is still frozen solid. There are several pockets around the outside for small snacks or utensils and the shoulder strap has a nice padded section, which makes for easier carrying. I really like this bag; it fulfills all of my needs and seems to be of really good quality.

Seems leak resistant. Functions exactly as described. Very durable compared to other lunch boxes. Zipper is quality. Great value for the money. Keeps ice cold as it should!

I use a cooler like this to keep drinks cold while on road trips. My previous cooler had a double zipper so I could put it in the passenger seat and when I wanted a soft drink I could pull over and then open the cooler with one hand (full sized truck, and I am a short person). With this cooler it's impossible to open with one hand and it just makes my stop that much longer to have to dislodge the cooler from its spot or get out and go around the truck to access it from the passenger door. This item looks very nice and is well made but this feature makes it unusable for me for its intended purpose. It looks so good that I failed to notice the zipper problem until too late to return it so now it's in storage and I have gone back to using my old cooler for road trips. You have to go up to the 15 can cooler to get a double zipper and that is just too big for my purpose.
