INTEX POOL OWNER
CuLator Power Packs are a GODSEND! Please read!!!! High Iron content in our township water.I found this product in 2014 after going through hell with our water. We owned a Summer Escapes 12×36 metal framed with skimmer basket. (Intex knock off, in my opinion better than intex)Please believe me when I tell you that I was so skeptical back in 2014. After emptying the pool twice, fighting with the different chemical remedies and the water. I was on my third try getting ready to empty it again. I went to my local pool store(who became quite familiar with me) said "here we just got these, they're fairly new but our customers have had great results, give it a shot" I'm sure I looked at him like "yeah ok this little white pillow is gonna work? Riiight" well it surely did!!! I will never EVER use anything else. I only use my Omni chlorine tabs, Omni shock(depending on how much the kids are in it) and my power pack! Thats it! No more other chemicals or money wasted nothing!Anyway this year our liner was taken on accident, we believe, because my hubby left it out front and someone probably thought it was trash. So a family member got us a new one and this one is a "real" intex pool. Its a 12×30. However it has no skimmer basket, the filter it came with has no inner screen for chlorine tablets, etc. Its so much different than what I was used too. I was also so upset thinking I wasn't going to be able to use my beloved 1.0mm power pack. So I called the company and spoke with David, who I also called back in 2014. And as always, he was so very kind and so very helpful. He said to try 2 different things·put pack into pump let it float around the filter. Since the filter is hollow with no screen for chlorine tabs I couldn't put it in the middle·tie pack to one of the intakes(I have two) and let it stay in front of the intake. If neither of those worked he said call him back and he would help me try to figure out something else.I have to say that all the negative reviews on this product are by people who aren't using this product properly or understanding it. Or they have a much more involved problem such as bonding or iron bacteria, etc. I would bet all my money that all of those negative reviewers didn't even call the company for help, advice or anything. Because if you call this company, they will do their very best to help you in any way they can!! They will ask you to send pictures, ask about your pools history, how it was built, I mean they will ask EVERYTHING. They truly do care and want to help and get to the bottom of any issues that any customer may have. I know they will do all this and more because I have experienced it!! And while yes, this is a miracle product and worked over night for me, please keep in mind I own a 1800 gallon size pool. So make sure you're getting the right pack for your pool or hot tub. They have 3, 1.0ppm, 1.5ppm, or 4.0ppm. Make sure you have the water is tested properly (for more than just ph levels) test for all metals, bacteria, etc. Which this company, Period Products, will also help you do. All pool owners know its a trial and error process when it comes to getting stuff under control. It can take up to a month before you start seeing results in a normal sized pool.I was and still am a faithful Omni product user but sadly their "Stain and Scale control and prevention" would work, but only for a few days and the brownish/greenish color would come right back. I found out that it was only putting a molecule around the metals instead of eliminating it.Also for those with Intex or similar pools, depending on the pump, you can buy generic brand, type c filters(Wal-Mart, target, dollar stores) that do have the screen for chlorine tabs and you can place the power pack in there. If the pack puffs up, which does happen occasionally because of air, take it out and tie it from the pool so it hangs in front of one of the intakes. The suction will keep it against the intake while also allowing water to pass as well.If you are not seeing results that you feel you should be seeing PLEASE call the company, CuLator, first before posting such negative crap. If you know the cause behind your issues is metal related, then yes, I totally recommend this product!!!Kasey RaduszewskiPennsville NJ

Shrinkage
Shrinkflation is a real thing, I guess. This is much smaller than the last time I ordered it!

I wasn't sure this would really do anything, but based on other reviews I gave it a shot. We knew our pool had metals in it after having it tested at our local pool store. They then gave us a lengthy and expensive regimen to complete, to get the water back to health. Not wanting to spend too much on their proprietary formula, we gave this chemical a try.To say it couldn't be any easier to administer would be completely accurate. You just drop it in your skimmer basket for 30 days and it does what it does.Important to note - A little detail our local pool store left out; chlorine needs to be at zero if you are using this as remedial, rather than for maintenance.Within 24 hours the metals were clearing up, and some staining we thought was permanent, had cleared up as well. We waited a little longer and added chlorine back in and the pool is BEAUTIFUL.The price is off-putting for this, but I now believe it is totally worth it.
