Wonderful taste
Perfect! Just drop em in a jar of salt water and they will be perfect for cooking or making a yogurt dip (very persian, tastes amazing with potato chips!) in 24 hours!

Delicious
I saw a TikTok video from the creator, Sayeh Soltani, making mast o’ mooser, and so I ordered this to make her recipe. I loved these and they are strong in flavor. I only wish they had these at my local grocer.

Excellent shallots
It seems to be too hard to have fresh seasoning/vegetables around, as things seem to rot almost instantly. That’s my purpose in buying these dried shallots, to replace the vegetables that I keep having to throw out. And this has worked well.They will reconstitute in a little water or just in whatever liquid is in the dish you are cooking. I suppose I could chop them.. frankly, I don’t. I just use them whole in liquid or oil, to add the shallot flavor. People could eat them then, or not. It’s the flavor you are after anyway. Will definitely buy more of these in the future. Now a staple in my pantry.

Not What It Used To BE
I have used this Sadaf dehydrated shallot proudct to powderize and blend in with yogurt for decades now, and to an absolutely delicious effect. Sadaf's dehyrated shallots are unfortunately just not as intense or flavorful as they used to be. This and other Sadaf products have taken a nosedive in quality and at the same time their prices have gone through the stratosphere. I do not recommend this or any other Sadaf product until they get their quality and prices back on track.

A Tasting of History
I recently was gifted the book, "Tasting History" by Max Miller. The recipe of Thu'u (1740 BC) called for Persian shallot. I found this on Amazon and made the recipe. I recommend both the journey through history via taste and these shallot slices.
