I considered gatekeeping this stuff but no longer. I’ve been using it every day for about a week and have put it through the ringer (walked around in the heat all day at school, had very intense gym sessions with running/sprinting, etc.) and it’s been phenominal. It gives you an unreal amount of volume if that’s something that interests you and has a subtle shine that I think looks nice. The hold is about as good as you can get (my hair would get a little flat after the long running/sprinting) but if I ran my hands through it again it would be back to how it was. It IS very hard to completely get out, you’re going to need to use extra shampoo/conditioner in the shower but that can be a positive if you like still having texture/volume when you get out of the shower and just towel/air dry your hair. I consider this a positive but could *potentially?* be a negative for someone who uses this sparingly and wants their hair to be flat again. I’ve used hair products for over twenty years and this is by far the best i’ve ever used, I will never buy another and you can’t beat the value.

So, I have tried many different types of gels, pomades, and putty for hair. One that I really like they do not make anymore. So started using this one, really love it. The only thing it works too good, after using the first time you wash hair and you may need to wash a few times as it can still feel like you still have it on. So bottom line if you want something that works well this will definitely work to hold hair.

I have been using this product since I first brought it home from my barber almost 3 years ago. I enjoy this product because it allows me to achieve a look that can be both firm (stay where I want it) but allow for some leeway to give it a textured/messy look. I have medium length, thicker hair and a single container can last me about 3 months if I use it every day or 6 months if I use it ~3 times a week. I usually buy two so I can have one for home and one for travel. Would recommend!

I usually always buy the pomade but wanted to try this. Holds well with a matte finish but is a pain to wash out.

I've been using this clay on my hair for a couple years now. It has a soft hold so your hair doesn't look like it has product in it. If your hair gets messed up a little bit of water or product on your finger tips fixes it back.

I have been using this for years and I highly recommend it. Great hold without looking like I use too much product. I usually get it from my salon, but ordering from Amazon saved me a trip in between haircuts.

I bought this in a hurry thinking it was the regular pomade and not the clay. I had to wash my hair multiple times and then it still wouldn't come out. I've been pleased with other Suavecito products except for this one. I would not recommend.

Definitely not water soluble. It has petroleum and beeswax so when you wash your hair it doesn’t come out whatsoever…. In fact when I got out of the shower and was getting ready I was able to style my hair with a comb without adding any new product because none of it washed out from the day before. I’ll be sticking to the original firm hold pomade.
