We initially ordered this because our cat just had a kitten. It is a single litter kitten and has no brothers or sisters to cuddle with while Mom is away. Someone mentioned online that a little rabbit fur could be very comforting to our kitten, but unfortunately mom is offended by this rabbit fur. Either by scent or look but either way she will not have it in her nest for now. It doesn't have a particularly strong smell or anything but that is okay. We will let it gain a familiar scent before trying again.Even if this doesn't end up working for it's initial purpose I will still find a use for it. Keep in mind I have little prior knowledge about fur quality or anything. But I am very happy with this pelt. No sharp edges or poky bits in the fur. I'm also aware the fur is dyed! I saw another reviewer was upset about the fact it was dyed, but it's stated in the description. It does not effect how friggin soft the fur is!!! So idk why that's a negative. It is SO soft. Softer than our tiny kitten's fur! The fur on this pelt is also very shiny. I love how it feels and looks!Usually I would expect some shedding but I have noticed no shedding. Even when I pinch the fur and lightly pull nothing comes out. That was strange to me and made me wonder if it was possibly fake, but it is real! I tested this by burning a small piece of fur. It is genuine fur. But even by looking at the leather you can tell it's real. The feel and everything. I was just thrown off how there is no shedding. Maybe because the seller combs the pelt really well before selling? I don't know, but I didn't have to comb it so I'm happy.One thing you should know before buying this is it is folded 3 times in a small plastic bag before shipping. The first half fold is very pronounced (as shown in photo) and even keeping it unfolded a while, the look of the crease isn't going away... it has memory when you pick it up it wants to fold back in half. I know this is probably unavoidable. But there might be a way to fix this (I have no idea)I will probably end up sewing this into something. I don't know what yet. Probably a tiny pillow just for cuddling with. Maybe make it in the shape of a heart or something. Well see. But even as is, I very much enjoy cuddling with it myself.I do have a small rabbit fur pillow that was shipped to me as a gift. And I have to say the smell of THAT item was very intense and unpleasant. I had to spray it with perfume it was so bad. It also had some poky bits inside the fur you could feel. Idk if this was due to the tanning process or just how the rabbit's skin was... but in any case, when this pelt is compared to that pillow, this pelt is much better quality.This pelt doesn't have a smell! No poky bits! Soft fur! Good size! Affordable! I am happy!Hope this is helpful.

Very beautiful and super quality.

I missed the part where it was dyed black and not natural. However, that's my fault and not the seller's. It is true to size though, and will work for my project. I don't think you can tell it's dyed unless the underside of the hide is visible. It's still soft and glossy and feels nice to the touch. It's a little pricey, upon comparison, but again, that's my fault and not the seller's as I should have done my homework first. Also there is some machine sewing in places to make it flat and more solid, but that's not a deal breaker for me as I'm using it to cover something else.

If you want a pelt this is the one. I will probably order more. The place I currently buy fur does not have them this big. Quality good also.

Whoever skinned this rabbit knew absolutely nothing about skinning! It has been sewn up 4 times! And dyed.....not worth the money. If youre going to skin an animal at least respect it enough to know what you're doing.

I wanted to make some clutches/purses out of real rabbit and found these that made me happy about the price. When I received them I found the quality to be excellent along with the great price. They are fluffy and flawless in my humble opinion. I have found many uses for them and ordered more. My plants look fabulous sitting on top of a pelt. Made several clutches also with many compliments of the quality of rabbit fur.
