Works great, easy to install
My Kitchenaid Mixer (Professional 600 - 6 Quart)- grey knob) began to delay starting, for the past year or so we slid the on/off speed control knob several times to get the machine to start. After starting, the speed control worked as it should, but after turning it off, getting it going again was often the same problem. The problem seemed to get progressively worse. I watched two or three YouTube videos and determined that my problem was the speed control unit. After checking online, I found pricing from over $100 down to $28. From what I was able to figure out, they were all the same part. Amazon being the one for $28. Placed order and it came in just a few days. The installation is very straight forward, simply remove the mounting screws and plug in the wiring one at a time from old to new. Different locations, but clearly identified. The two difficulties are (1) removing the speed sensor plug and replacing it. My wife held a light and I pressed each locking ear with a small flat screwdriver to release. Replacing the plug was the last step. Careful alignment and what seemed to be excessive pressure got it installed. (2) the new unit did not ship with a new knob, removing the old one with out damage was a real challenge. I suspected that it would break before releasing. Not sure if it was a friction fit or they used some glue. I used my soldering iron to heat the metal lever and pried, reheated, pried, several times and it finally broke free. It would be much better if Amazon offered a replacement knob as an option. I only used friction to attach it to the new unit and it seems to be holding. I can use some CA glue if needed. The prying did some slight cosmetic damage, but you really have to look closely to see the little bit of damage.Solved my problem and 5 stars to the replacement part and Amazon for having it available at a reasonable price.

Works as described, fixed the mixer, happy wife!!
This is the exact part that our 15 year old KitchenAid bowl lift mixer needed to fix its speed control switch going wonky. I probably could have taken the old board's switch apart and cleaned contacts and stuff but this was a much more straightforward repair. Made the wife happy again. The unit does not come with a knob - it was a little bit of a challenge to get the old knob off the old board VS buying new knobs but with a little heat, vice grip nose pliers and a screwdriver I was able to leverage the old knob off and transfer it to the new board.

Easy Installation!
I'm one of those people who can turn a seemingly simple task into a project. When the "kitchen queen" started complaining about the speed control on her Kitchen-aid stand mixer not working correctly and commenting on how the mixer was several years old and time for a new one - I took a look at the mixer. It looked great physically because she takes excellent care of her appliances. So I decided to try to fix it.I watched several You-Tube videos about replacing the speed control, ordered this replacement part and re-watched the videos. The part came in today and less than 30 minutes later we have a perfectly functioning mixer. The replacement did have a slightly different layout for the electrical connections (as had been commented on one video) but careful reading of labels on the circuit board was all that was required. The replacement did not come with a knob but one of the videos or comments that I had read gave an answer of heating the old knob enough to loosen it and it came off with a gentle but persistent tug.

Black plastic knob not included
I have a Kitchenaid professional HD (KG25H7XWH) stand mixer that I purchased from Costco about 10 years ago. The mixer stopped turning on for speed 1 & 2 but if you went to speed 3 and then back to speeds 1 or 2 then it worked on those speeds. This part fixed the problem. It was easy to swap out. Just note the four wire clips are in different locations on the new board, which are labeled. The speed control lever on the new board lacks a knob. I tried to remove the old knob but it appears to be glued on. I did a work around by removing the black plastic housing on the back side of the new board. This housing is held in place with 4 screws and is easily swapable with the original housing. By swapping the housing I avoided the challenge of pulling the black knob off and gluing it on the new lever.

Very easy to change.Works like a charm.
The speed lever was so stiff I could hardly move it and the speeds were fussy about changing. Sometimes the mixer would not turn on or off. I found other problems when I opened the mixer. The transmission box was cracked and a worn gear or two. With help of easy to find videos on line I took the gears apart, cleaned them up, replaced them, regressed the machine and replaced the transmission cover. All that took some time to do. Not bad though. When this part arrived it took less than 10 minutes to open it up again and swap out the parts. The lever now glides smoothly and speeds change beautifully. Runs like a new machine.
