Sentry Solutions products are truly hidden gems
FYI... I'm using similar review content for several Sentry Solutions products that I purchased here at Amazon.com as all are commented on within. I use this specific product to "recharge" my TUF-Cloth and to spray on cleaning patches for quick cleanings between range sessions when a full cleaning isn't required. Here is the full review:This item is no joke. I bought it because I like the idea of a dry lubricant for lighter recoil guns, my carry gun (pocket & clothing lint) and my .22s due to their excessive lead and carbon buildup. These types of products take more effort and patience to apply, but they are worth it. You can actually feel your firearms function more smoothly after using them, and they make subsequent cleanings far easier to manage and take less time. This product is recommended highly for knives, while SMOOTH-KOTE is recommended for internal firearms parts. However, TUF-Glide can also be used for quick cleaning and light cleaning of firearms, and in fact the US Army uses the TUF-Cloth in the field for on-the-fly rifle and handgun cleaning, particularly in the desert, dusty environments of Iraq and Afghanistan. TUF-Cloth is a 100% lint-free microfiber cloth that is saturated in TUF-Glide and reusable.I prep the surface with 99% isopropyl alcohol as my solvent, which dries quickly, and then I apply SMOOTH-KOTE with a hobbyist paint brush to all disassembled internal parts. One warning, you can absolutely use SMOOTH-KOTE on the outside of your firearm too, but it dries to a charcoal grey color so most people do not do this. I don't. I run the TUF-Cloth over the outside metal parts after I've reassembled it, and I treat all inner parts with SMOOTH-KOTE. That's for a thorough cleaning. For quick cleanings, like if I'm just wanting to polish up the feed ramp, breach and chamber areas, I use the TUF-Glide pen oiler and some tight cotton swabs or small cleaning patches. It's excellent as a cleaner since it's suspended in mineral spirits, and it leaves behind a nice, dry, slick surface. This item's needle applicator has been great and this solution will not clog it. My only complaint about the SMOOTH-KOTE product is the needle applicator will clog if you don't use it for a few weeks and it dries out. This happened to me and I didn't realize it. I squeezed the bottle a little too hard and the stuff came flying out like a laser beam when the clog broke free, which stained my hands, cleaning mat and old t-shirt. Fortunately nothing of value, and I know better now. I actually like the smell of this too, but that's not to say it will be that way for everyone. Anyways, highly recommended product here if you have the patience to use it. I find "painting" my firearms parts to actually be quite relaxing. It's like ceramic figurines, but for dudes (mostly).

This stuff is the best to protect AND dry-lube your equipment
I have been using this for years on firearms and blades to protect them from rust and give them a long lasting, dry coat of lubrication. Some additional oil on firearms on specific moving parts is never a bad idea, but is unnecessary using this. It is great for storing equipment long-term as well. I have first-hand experience doing this, in humid climates, with great results. Helps breakdown residue too. Tuf-Glide is a winner, it's been tested and is highly recommended.

Awesome metal protectant
Great product I've been using it for years on axe heads, knives and firearms. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good anti rust coating. It's easy to use and the smell isn't obnoxious. I apply it once a month and it takes 5 minutes for all my tools.

Great product. Just wish it were safe with food items. Great job keeping my flippers smooth and definitely keeps the rust away

Pump spray is very handy
This is an excellent product for applications such as under-slide components and other lockwork. The mist applicator is perfect for coverage of large areas with a light coating. The lube is very lightweight with a pleasant smell. I believe it would be better for light pressure areas that require corrosion protection vs. heavy contact pressure lubrication. I also use it to coat breach and action areas subject to soot. Treated areas wipe up cleanly with out the soot sticking or getting gunky build-up. I still use a more viscous synthetic lube on hammer/trigger pins, locking lugs, slide rails and such. This fills a niche that's hard to cover with those products without using a lot to ensure coverage then wiping off the excess (think recoil or main spring).

Non-functioning Spray
Would love to give a review of it, but seeing as how the pump doesn't work I can't! Opened the plastic bag it came in and something had obviously leaked as the bottle was sticky and the label was smeared. Not the best experience buying this for the first time!

Works great, very good investment.
I first used this stuff when I got a TOPS brand carbon steel knife. It came with a tiny TOPS branded bottle full of what is clearly the same stuff. It's better than regular oil because it dries on completely and doesn't leave globs of discolored oil after years of storage. It protects the steel and it's hard to even notice it's there. When my tiny freebie bottle ran out, I looked into getting more and was told to get this. I first bought a small bottle of Tuf Glide, which lasted quite a long time. Then I started collecting more older pocket knives (many not being stainless), and put Tuf Glide on everything. Now I've got the big bottle, and will be using it for the rest of my life.
