Really Works!
This is my first real boomerang. It does take getting used to it and this one needs a fairly hard throw and a bit of bending to get it to go how you need it too. The good part is with some practice it really does return! The first day I used I was able to get it to return after a while. It looks pretty cool flying and spinning around as it loops around and back to you, albeit near me most of the time. The bad part about adjusting it is it tends to go back to the original position again and next time out you need to try bending/adjusting it again so again it takes a few throws before you can get to return. Perhaps that is a benefit since wind will be different each use? I'm thinking a wood one would be better since it would never need adjustment but I have caused this to go high up and crash land hard a few times and I doubt a wood one would have survived those. For that reason I think a good plastic one like this is best for beginners.

Maybe more of a spring-time toy?
While I was thrilled to get this for my 12-year-old, he was not impressed. Maybe because it's plastic, and not a "real wood" boomerang? In any case, it is probably more of a spring-time toy. I can't say there was anything wrong with it - - it came exactly as described and quickly, too. It just didn't create any excitement with my son.
