Finally! A treat that's ACTUALLY Long-Lasting
The media could not be loaded. I have been struggling to find my 10 month old toy poodle a treat that was healthy, safe for him to chew on, and above all - long lasting! He usually bites through treats as quickly as he can, and gulps down the pieces even if they're not bite-sized. (The last treat I tried giving him was a bully stick and he bit it in 2 pieces and swallowed whole. I was mortified!) He never chews anything, and so rather risking him swallowing something that's too big or jagged for his little throat, I gave up and resorted to giving him Nylabones. However, I am not a fan of him chewing on plastic. I would find little pieces of plastic everywhere on the floor, in his bed, and in his hair. After watching him use his front paws and teeth to pull off shards of plastic to eat, I knew I needed a change of treat. Enter these yak chews!I was a little hesistant as I know these can be very hard, especially on a toy breed's teeth, but he hates brushing and nothing else I have tried has worked. I never wanted to give him antlers, bones, or rawhide, so when I heard of yak cheese chews and how they were cheese and hard but didn't splinter, I decided I would try these out.In the video I added, he's had this chew for 20 minutes. Other treats have never lasted more than 2!!! And he hasn't even made much of a dent in it yet, it still looks about the same as it came out the package as I type this review. I could definitely see these lasting him for days or hopefully even weeks (I bought 2).For the price, the convenience of giving him something to hold his attention, and how much he seems to enjoy chomping on them, I think this chew is a winner!

If yours come broken, or your pup breaks one!!
My puppy was so so excited when I brought these out. He’s a 6 month old boxer with adult teeth, and the vet recommended these. Definitely a better price than other identical treats on here. So I gave him his chew, and he was so excited he dropped it on the ground and it shattered into 5 pieces too small to chew safely. I have a clay tile kitchen floor): I was like oh heck that one is trash, but then I saw the back. I thought I’d give it a shot and so I soaked the pieces in water over night and this morning I threw one in the microwave for about 3 minutes. It puffed up to 3 or 4 times the size it was, but stayed rock hard. I put it in the freezer for about 15 minutes and then I gave it to him. Oh my gosh. He went nuts. It was much easier for him to chew the puffed up crunchy piece because of his weaker puppy jaw. He’s been going for about 90 minutes while I work on the computer and he hasn’t even really broken into the cheese itself. I’ll take it away in a few to save it for tomorrow(: So! Moral of the story...if they come broken or your pup breaks his...soak the big pieces overnight and then it basically makes the treats viable again as chews!

Dogs loved these and did not make a mess when chewed or a noticable odor will buy again

Long last but not as long as others
Product was good that it did bother our dogs sensitive stomach. I’ve gotten other bones with this description and they have lasted longer. He chewed through one bone in 2 days which others have taken a week. Good product just wish it lasted a little longer for big chewers

Amazing!!! Best chew I’ve found so far
The media could not be loaded. Oh my gosh, how did I not know about these sooner?! My Golden boy Remy hurt his paw so I needed something to keep him occupied for a while instead of running around like the total spazz he is. Some background info: Remy is an extremely heavy chewer and destroys chew toys/eats edible chews super fast. He cracked his front tooth while chewing an antler a few months back (he gets REALLY into it) so getting him a bone wasn’t an option. I was in search of something safe, but long lasting. Let me tell y’all, this is IT! The Himalayan Yak chew has kept him busy for a couple hours now, and it’s barely 1/3 of the way chewed. They are wayyy more durable than I expected for something that is 100% edible. I of course had to also give one to my younger pup, an Australian Shepherd, and she loves it too (still has puppy teeth so I’ll be limiting her time with it). So glad I listened to the positive reviews and tried this out! Don’t hesitate to give it a try.

Be careful of size/product is 5 stars...size for amount, not so much
I know these were for small dogs but, sheesh, even for a small dog these are SMALL!! barely 2.5 inches long and only 3 in a package for this amount of money is too high. Photo makes it look like these are the length of the bag...they are not.My dog is a husky/shepherd mix, on the petite side and is not a big chewer and these did last her a long time. She actually got tired of chewing for a minute and had to take a break. If you have a power chewer, this might not last very long, even if you buy the larger size (and do make sure you know what you are getting size wise for these as they are small and so few in a package). It was my fault for not looking more closely and making sure that these were fuller in size. I hate knocking off stars for that because it doesn't reflect on the actual product itself. I do think it's important to note though because the photo makes it look like they would be the length of the package and they are not even close! Not by a long shot!I won't buy them again as I think they are just too expensive for what you get but I will say, if you are happy with the price and with the tiny amount in the package, these do seem well made and my dog really did like them.

Not worth the cost
I purchased this for my 16 lb. Cocker Spaniel. She is definitely NOT a super-chewed. It only lasted a few hours before it dropped off of her mat onto the floor, which is 7” tall, and broke in two. Neither piece is large enough not to be a chocking hazard. This was the second one I purchased. The first one broke in half as well but I thought it was a fluke. These things are too expensive to just throw them away.
