I received the caning material, the instructions were fair to good, the pegs were fine but the caning material was in poor condition. There were rips and tares and I wouldn't use it. The material wasn't what I was expecting, I was looking for modern plastic caning. I didn't ship it back because the postage would be almost as much as the caning. I would not recommend purchasing this product unless what your caning has to be genuine authentic like redoing some antic. Then you better have a lot of patients or you will be very unhappy.

This person appears to be the go-to person to learn how to recane a chair. However, I am not that person! I will find a person who is talented and patient enough. I'm not faulting this kit at all. The instruction book could be written a little clearer, but I had much better luck with Cindy's YouTube video on her 7 step process.

The kit came with enough to cane a seat. The directions were pretty clear, however, if you do get confused you can watch the video link which is excellent!

The kit is great and I was able to restore this beautiful Brazilian colonial chair. The tool is cheap and broke at the end, but it was enough to finish the job.
