Design Engineering 050215 Boom Mat Damping Tape, 2" x 20ft Roll

Used it on my 71 Dodge Demon for floor, trunk seams. I used black caulking then the tape on top. Used latex gloves, measured, cut, then peel as you go for easier management. I used a deep socket to roll and press tape into application.

Took the bed of my truck to do some leaf spring work. Before replacing the bed I put several layers of the material where the original dampening material was. Applied easily and stayed in place while replacing the bed.

This helps a lot to cut down on vibration sounds when you run custom exhaust. This works good on the underside of body panels with open areas, loose interior panels, wires and harnesses and anything else that wants to resonate. Its very thick and sticky black adhesive with a black metallic top layer, good quality materials.

Tape sticks well to most any material. When exposed to the sun or high heat inside a vehicle, it melts and runs everywhere.

I tried it in my car, but the noise did not gone. I am no sure if installed OK or something is missing by me.

Expensive but seems to work. Used it on the hardtop of my jeep under some after market headliner pieces.

Its useless didn't meet my need. It suppose to be $1 instead of $25. It is very expensive and not worth it I really regret buying this trash tape go head and buy it for losing your money

Used it for damping my car doors for new speaker installation. Sticks really easy and easy to peel! Not all roll up sticky foam or dampening tape or otherwise can claim that (take Velcro for example). The plastic that protects the sticky surface is slightly oversized so it makes it so easy to remove. Simple, yet ingenious design.
