Paper Models That Rock!: 6 Pendulum Automata (Dover Origami Papercraft)

Good book. Seem quite easy to do. You have to cut them out yourself but I think that is better as you do not have all the attachment pips to cut off. If you like making things, you will like this book.

This is another great set of automata from super paper engineer Rob Ives.

お土産屋で売っている張り子の虎と同じ原理で、振動を受けると重りの作用で揺れる仕組みです。組み立ては簡単ですが、玩具としてのインパクトは今一つです。惜しいことに、折角のカラー写真入り説明書なのに接着位置が良く見えず、両面印刷なのに裏面の接着位置が書いてないため迷う部分があります。よって星4つとしました。なお、重りに硬貨を使うのは抵抗があるため、ワッシャーで代用しました。

Automata are wonderful little "Toys" to make. I would love to see more pictures of the models, and more pictures.

It would have been nice if the patterns were performated. Some corners, especially the small ones were difficult to cut. You will need snipping scissors to cut them. I like the cardboard pages. I haven't had the chance to put together because cutting takes time so I gave a middle review.
