Does the Job. Doesn’t suck at it
Saved me a whole lot of pain and expense. Easy to install with clear and simple instructions. Properly solved my bearing-based issue where my hydraulic cylinder was shooting into the floor.

PERFECT!!
I bought a chair off of Marketplace because I liked the retro cover on it, not because it "sat well." Been trouble since I got it home. I've already done work on cleaning it and reattaching the upholstery. It's probably 15 years old. So, the other day, a pile of what looked like greasy graphite appeared below it--under closer inspection, there were assorted ballbearings in the pile. What fresh hell...? A few YouTube videos helped me identify the problem and what I needed to fix it. The gas cylinder seemed to be fine but the uppy/downy lever never did work. I have a height I want--I would not be a person who takes it up and down figuring that out. Anyway, I was so glad to see this kit available--the delivery time was longer than I'd hoped for, but as it turned out, it came two days earlier than the earliest delivery time. Easy installation--however, it appeared that uppy/downy thing was letting it sit too low. Another Amazon find remedied that and now I am queen of the world! Thank you!!!

Quality at a good price.
They are easy to install and heavy duty. Don’t buy stock ones for more than this pair cost. I have been working on cars for over 45 years and these are quality. They have a built-in large nut at the top to hold them. Very nice.

didn't work out for me.
Rubber stopper is not as wide as original in the classic aeron (2002), which had degraded in mine, thus didn't work out for me. Leaving 4 stars since I went in knowing from description that it only fits "most"

This Kit Saved a Herman Miller chair
So I bought a Herman Miller chair second hand from a random man, and although I inspected the chair in the parking lot where we met up, I did not pick it up. I thought the seller was being a gentleman by helping me, a petite woman, load a heavy office chair into my car. Turns out he was holding it together and it fell apart when I unloaded it. Of course I paid cash and of course the seller didn't want to refund my money even though he knowingly sold me a broken chair (may Karma bite his a@*). This kit saved the day. It had all the parts that were broken or missing. For a reasonable cost, I was able to salvage the $$ I spent. The installation was simple enough to follow using the instruction card. Thank you, thank you!

Fixes the DxRacer "Clicking" Issue
I have a newer DxRacer Classic series (which was their top of the line model when I bought it last year.) It produced a horrible clicking noise whenever I leaned back or sat down or move around in any kind of way. All within the 1st month of owning it. I contacted the authorized seller and they sent me a brand new reclining and gas cylinders unit (like 200 bucks in parts) and this pretty much fixed the entire issue. I didn't think about it again until last month about 1 year later... the dread clicking came back.I probably could have sent away for another gas cylinders replacement, but I knew this time around the clicking is caused by broken ball bearing washer (since this is widespread knowledge around the net now). My chair is extra big model so the gas cylinders is heavy duty (not normal size) this hardware repair kit is universal size so it fits both normal and heavy duty gas cylinders. When I popped the pin off my chair and remove the base from the shaft, loose ball bearings spilled out onto the floor. The rubber stopper washer was completely shredded. The only thing that survived was the 2 washers that sat on the top and bottom of the plastic washer bearing. I knew immediately the net was correct. This was the issue for the clicks.A couple of tips I can give you on installation. Have a long wooden dowel or some other long blunt object to pick out the bearings and junk stuck at the bottom of the wheel base cuff. I had bearings stuck in the grease and particulate matter everywhere along the bottom. I cleaned all that out with the dowel (just wiped the dowel off in a paper towel at each step) until everything looked silvery and clean at the bottom.Another tip is make sure you have bearing grease before you do this installation. It does not come with the kit. You do not want to put these bearings in without bearing grease all over the washers and bearing washer or you will just break it sooner. Keep in mind bearing grease is different from bearing oil (grease is what you need for this task). The repair was done within 10 minutes (would have been less if I didn't have to pick out loose bearings from the wheel base collar.) No there are no clicks or pops. The chair rotates around as flawlessly as it did when it was new. I likely will have to do this again in 1 year, but at least now I know how to fix my chair for 10 bucks. I hope this helps. Also, there does not seem to be any issue with that washer bearing being 10mm smaller in this gas cylinder than the bigger heavy duty one that came with the DxRacer chair.

It’s works. A tad expensive for what it is.
It works as intended. If you’re in a pinch though and can’t get this, just a couple of washers will pretty much do the same thing.

Lasts 3 months
In about 3 months after installing it the bearing just breaks into pieces. I understand that the bearing made out of plastic because it’s cheaper.. but when it lasts for a few months, then I think engineers don’t understand how mechanics works, the more load it experiences the more durable it should be. Plastic isn’t the best solution for 10s of kilograms of load
