My son bought this because he wanted to get in shape. Carrying extra weight is one way to do it. I thought he might die trying to keep up with his speedy girlfriend but he didn't. If your a tough guy. This is for you.

Overall I like the vest, but it takes a bit to get used to the compression required to prevent “shoulder slap” when running/jumping. I think this has to do with the limited adjustability in the chest. I’m a fairly average build (5’ 10”, 190, 42” chest) and with the cummerbund across your diaphragm the tension required to keep the vest snug makes it hard to breathe during vigorous exercise. Having chest compression straps would help immensely to snug it up. Quality feels and looks great, lots of pockets, easy to get plates in and out. Plate holding system also feels top notch.

Great quality, straps are perfectly fit and easy. Was a bit on the pricey side, but Amazon alerted me the price drop and I bought it for my Husband. Now both my teenage boys use it as well.

This appears to be a nice, well-made vest. It's heavy duty and comfortable. I admit right up front, I have no experience with weighted things, other than ankle weights. My doc suggested I add some weight when I'm exercising, so I ordered this. I had no idea it didn't come with any weights. That's probably on me but I didn't see it mentioned anywhere. For a newbie who's not worked with weighted garments, maybe it should be mentioned? It has padded shoulder straps and I'm guessing that would make wearing the weights more comfortable. It does fit both me and my husband, - who apparently knew it wouldn't have wights- so it is adjustable for several fits. It does seem expensive compared to other offerings.
