My "size" said xl. Totally could go small. But man these things are comfortable as hell.

Nice, lightweight, and comfortable, but if you're getting them for use with martial arts, they are somewhat restrictive and might wrip in the crotch area with high kicks.

I had seen to purchase a larger size than you need for this. I would certainly agree. I tried it on before washing and felt like I was swimming in it. But once I washed and dried it, it fit great. Still very loose, but not super baggy. Worked great for a pirate ren faire costume, though if you are a guy, I'd recommend compression shorts underneath as it provides no support. It's thin but not see-through, at least when dry. I can't speak for if it would be raining. Pretty comfortable. I'd going to certainly wear them as sweatpants.

Easy going yet stylistic

So I originally bought these just to wear around the house and as pajamas.. as far as fitting around the waist, they are good.. but stitching in certain spots isnt. One of the pockets entrances for example was sewn smaller than the other side.. had to snip a handful of threads to make it even.. the stitching on the sides is kinda wonky.. but otherwise they fit ok and since im only wearing them here at home they are actually pretty comfortable!

I practice Tai Chi in Texas It is almost always hot and these pants are light weigh yet seem like they will last. Get a size bigger. Love the fit. Don’t get these for any hard style martial arts that involve kicking or aggressive stretching. These will not work as a GI or Dobak. They are like cotton pajamas you can wear in public.
