I have read a lot recently about how plastic bottles can be harmful to health. All this BPA talk and non-BPA talk got me thinking that I was going to look for a good glass alternative.With this product I found a good quality, durable and very robust bottle. Yes it is glass but it appears to be able to take the knocks and as suggested by the manufacturer is remarkably strong.The bottle comes in a rather protective padded outer, which is embossed by the company logo, inside you get a tough cardboard package with all the usual protective packaging, which stood up to the Royal Mail system.The bottle is quite heavy but reassuringly so, the double layer is plain to see and there is no fragility to it at all, from the glass itself to the screw lid.The design is eye catching and professional and stylish with some great features.The screw lid secures well and you cant over screw as with plastic alternatives, the strainer is a great idea and as mentioned in other reviews is a great idea that keeps those pesky leaves from your mouth.Does it keep things insulated? Well I made a hot coffee as a test, took the kids to school, went for a dog walk and the coffee gently cooled over a 90 minute period without going cold or ruining the drink inside.The same is true for cool drinks, without the science I'm happy to say my cold drink stayed cold for ages, up to the point that the drink was consumed. Happy days!All in all a good quality product that does the job at a reasonable price. No worry about leakage of dodgy chemicals and you can easily recycle at the end of its life, bonus! 5 star product.

Okay so this bottle ticks many boxes well and some not so wellI really like how the Deslon looks. It's stylish and sits on my desk well.I have used to for a commute now and then but I was wary of dropping it or bashing it when it’s in my bag. I also used it in my car and it fits in the cup holder (even though it’s a bit tall)The heat from hot water is very minimal but you can tell that there is hot water in there when holding it.It’s well made. The metal filter and the lid secures firmly so no spillage.It’s heavy(ish) for the amount of contents it holds as the main body is made from glass with the top being clear plastic, you may prefer to go with a plastic flash if you want something lighter.Again, it’s glass so it may break if dropped even though I think the glass is tough.The if you put hot water in there you’ll have about 2.5hrs before it goes lukewarm.My only gripe is that I would want a bigger one as I like to drink hot water or ginger tea which I would need more water than 340ml (I have the largest size)Other than that, it’s a good buy.

Product arrived quickly. A sturdy glass design with a very smart stainless steel lid.I probably won’t use the strainer, but I wanted a water bottle for work that will keep the chilled water from our cooler cold.A couple of hours later and when I take a sip, it is still chilled. That works for me.The instructions aren’t in English, but apart from wanting to know if it is dishwasher safe, i’m not too sure I need instructions on how to use a bottle!My partner drinks herbal tea, and with the filter, (which fits very snuggly, so I don’t see problems with it getting loose), I have been getting some very jealous looks.Would certainly consider more of these types of products!

This is great. My wife is a big tea drinker and enjoys mint tea alongside regular tea and this works for both. You can put flavours (such as mint or lemon) in the flask and add water then use the infuser to stop it getting into the cup, or put loose leaf tea in the top and pour the water through it to infuse it. Both work equally well and can also be used to flavour cold water as seems to be the fashion at the moment.The flask keeps water hot. It does get warmer on the outside than a traditional flask which I guess means it is leaking heat so probably wouldn't work to keep it hot for a long time but it's not so hot that it's uncomfortable to handle and the water has been satisfyingly hot after at least an hour which is the longest we have tried so may well do much longer. It also keeps water cold.So it has a pretty good practical use but also looks really good whilst doing it. The lid fits well and doesn't leak. I will be worried about dropping it but it's been knocked over once without damage and doesn't seem brittle, just not something I would want to sling in a rucksack like I do my metal coffee cup. We have the 12oz which is good for two full cups of tea.It's not big or especially heavy in the larger size.

After only a couple weeks, this shattered in hand just before taking a drink. Got a full refund - but i feel this product is a safety concern. I got another glass bottle from home bargains with a rubber guard around it for a fraction of the price and so far have had no issues with it.

Great item,This Infuser has a solid feel and looks great. It is made out of glass and is quite heavy.I have tested this with Coffee, Tea, Greek Mountain tea and various Green Tea's and it works well keeping the liquid hot until I have drank it.I have also used this for Honey, Root Ginger and Lemon for the cold and it does exactly as it says it keeps the ginger parts separated so that I don't drink and off shavings.It comes with instructions in the Chinese language and no English instructions but its pretty straightforward to use.Would highly recommend

This has a flexible plastic ring in the lid. So where it says in the description/reviews that it doesn't, this is misleading. Obviously if the bottle can be always secured in an upright position then the plastic wont come into contact with the liquid inside. But this is only In ideal situations. Also it is not as strong as I thought. I dropped it and the inside glass cracked not the outer. It would be better if it had just the thicker outer glass. The inner vacuum flask doesnt keep the drink hot for more than 30mins anyway so what is the point?
