This comes with a very sparse manual, with insufficient detail. As mentioned by others, there are no batteries provided, but it does come with a memory card. It takes time and effort, and a lot of hit and miss button presses to find out how to operate this thing. If the manual were better a lot of wasted time could be avoided. The resolution of the screen is actually quite good for taking the background pictures. This shows up in the pure optical mode - with no contribution from the heat sensors. Perhaps there is not enough resolution from the heat sensors - though this is uncertain. I tried this above an electric blanket, and it showed that there are definite wires with a regular structure inside, so it does show some structures based on heat. The colour coded images based on temperature can be merged with the optical image, though with even a small amount of heat information embedded in the image, the heat information dominates over the optical and then appears to be of a lower resolution. Partly this may be because even with sharply defined heat sources, the heat tends to leak and smear out over the surroundings, so it may not be just a matter of low resoution by the heat sensors.I really wanted this to try to identify heat leaks in the house, with a view to putting more insulation in. I'm not sure that this is quite the right kind of tool for this job, or if it has the sensitivity required to do that mapping to a high enough standard. However, after an initial bewilderment, and wondering if the tool worked at all, I did get it working. It seems to work. The biggest failing - and it is rather a large one - is the lack of a well written and understandable manual. I think there are still features of this tool which may work, and may be helpful and good to use, but the manual is so poor that it may take a long while and a lot of experimentation to find out the true capabilities of this device. That is a pity.

This product is at the lower end of the cost spectrum, but while it does not have all the bells and whistles it does do what it says on the tin if a little slowly. I bought it to trace under floor heating pipes in the screed which it did do very easily and has saved me hundreds of pounds by me not drilling through any pipes!Picture quality was good enough for me.

I was a bit unsure about this thermal camera due to other reviews. It doesn’t come with batteries and needs x4 AA’s. Once fitted the camera booted up and I was initially underwhelmed. Referring to the manual on how to use it is essential. Once the settings were played with I was able to set the type of view from thermal to a hybrid between a normal view. I’m using this to find bees in walls (I’m a bee keeper/remove colonies from homes where possible) the camera easily picks up hot water pipes etc. Long term the buttons and screen seem robust, there’s a trigger to take photos and it came with an SD card

My husband require many tools in his garage for his new cars, while he was looking into some temperature measurement tool for checking different parts of his diesel engine and Tesla cars, we find this IR Thermal imaging camera can be a good tool.After placing order for this IR0002 we soon received the shipment and he is now very happy with using it for measuring the temperatures of engines, brake discs and even exhaust pipe. This helps with his hobby of car maintenance works.He told me he likes specially the Visual camera feature which allowed him spotting the right engine part much easier.

This is a good tool searching for abnormal heat source at home. Over-heated electronic devices and leakage of water can both be easily detected. However, I am using it in a special way. I enjoy ghost hunting with my friends in college. We have got a society investigating supernatural phenomenons. I bought this IR thermal camera when we last visited a haunted house. You know what, we have got images of low temperature shadows captured. What a finding!! I will have this IR thermal camera with me for upcoming outings. Let's see what will be found next. I am trying to prove the existence of ghost with data collected.

Chosen this one from Perfect Prime for its picture capture function and MicroSD support. It was easy to use and pictures could be sent to consultants easily. This helped me get quote from pest control. For a handy and useful tool like this, the price is awesome comparing with similar ones. Highly recommended.

We need an Infra-red thermometer in our laboratory for testing many of our electrical appliance products’ temperature. We find this Perfect-PrimeIR0002 IR Thermal Imaging camera which cost more than a plain IR Thermometer but very good price over other similar thermal cameras.This product is easy to use for spotting the right portion of our products for very accurate temperature measurements. A good feature is the adjustable emissivity (from 0.1 to 1.0) for different color and material design of our products.

Very poor image, not capable of producing the images that are advertised! This is a very crude product thar only shows blobs of blue or red areas , i returned mine and paid for a firm to do a thermal imaging survey, their equipment produced fantastic images almost like x rays. Avoid this product unless its refuced to ten pounds!!!!
