Great quality
The book print is great quality, interesting visuals and very colourful as well as loads of good information, safety tips, and recipes. Much better than another book I got off amazon and had to return.

Brilliant for a newbie
I'm a complete novice fyi, I want to try making soap and this book makes it easy to follow (I haven't tried any yet) the author explains the dangers of the process but in an informative way with directions in case of an accident. It lists all oils and their properties as well as herbs, colours, essential oils etcThere are simple and more elaborate designs/recipes perfect for anyone that knows nothing to get started and maybe a few ideas for people who know the basics already. There are a few pages of basic equipment needed as well as safety equipment which is really useful

It is an excellent book for beginners and not only
The first part of the book is dedicated to the soap making process explaining in detail what oils to use, tools that are needed etc and the second part of the book is dedicated to the recipes. The recipes are accompanied by pictures showing the process and the final result. It is an excellent book for beginners and not only. I didn't like that it was spiral bound fearing that it would tear apart after some use but I was all wrong. The quality is very good and my copy is good as new even after months of use.

Gorgeous & inspiring creations! š
Iāve been following the author on Instagram for quite a while now, & Iām constantly impressed with her energy & enthusiasm for what she does, itās abundantly clear that sheās passionate about soap-making, & so I was delighted to purchase this book & find that same dedication to the craft in print.Anne-Marieās book is fantastic, really well laid out & organised, itās very easy to read, looks beautiful, & is very informative, without being excessively verbose. Everything you need to know is written in an easily digestible manner, thatās a breeze to follow & understand, which is particularly important when dealing with caustic, & potentially hazardous ingredients.Aside from the clear & concise written explanations, there are plenty of pictorial steps to guide you through making the recipes, so this book should appeal to a variety of learning styles. The photographs of the finished soaps are gorgeous, & really motivating, I cannot wait to start making all the recipes, they all look & sound amazing!I only have two mild criticisms about this book, & neither of which should put any potential purchaser off entirely, because the content of the book far outweighs any negatives.1. I detest the spiral construction of the book, it makes turning the pages an absolute pain, Iām petrified of damaging or tearing them, itās not a particularly user-friendly design, which is a real shame.2. A lot of the recipes contain palm oil, which is a problem for the environmentally conscious soap-maker, although Anne-Marie does clarify that sustainable palm oil is available, & you can substitute palm oil entirely if you prefer, in favour of a different oil, providing that you always use an online calculator to work out how that will affect the lye & water content of the recipe (itās definitely not something you can just guess at & hope for the best!)Other than that, I highly recommend this book, itās aesthetically pleasing, & a brilliant guide to creating the most beautiful handmade soaps. Beginners & seasoned soap-makerās alike, should find the book inspiring, & definitely one to add to the collection.

Excellent
I found this book very useful with a very good introduction to the basics of soap making. I would have loved this book to concentrate more on different types of basic soap rather than decorative building projects but you can easily adapt the elaborate recipes for the basic version anyway. All in all a great, well put together book

Step by step instructions
This is a really nice soap making book. Easy to read as it's a wirebound book, and has photos and step by step instructions for all of the recipes. Explains the qualities of different butters and oils used in soap making. Not made any of the recipes yet though
