no need to replace the pads because it fixed with sutures with the belt material but you should use conductive gel every time when you use the belt

will it work with the TENS 7000

That depends on the lead wire connector to the TENS unit - it may require TENS Lead Wire Adapters- 2mm Pin ( Female) to 3.5mm Snap ( Female) Connectors so you can use the wires you have with your unit. The lead wires provided with the belt will not work with EMPI TENS unit, the plug provided will not fit the EMPI unit.
