What is the difference between the curved grips and the straight grips?

If you're talking about the side that looks like it's cut out, then that's the side your thumb goes on. So these do come in pairs with both a left and right grip and that curved looking portion is where the meaty part of your thumb goes. The straight grips can be used interchangeably between both hands. Hopefully I understood and answered your question!
