Orbit 57865 Outdoor Battery-Powered Water Sprinkler Controller

Exactly what I needed in an area with no automatic sprinkler system. Very easy to use and hook up. Been using it for about 5 months and I’m happy with it.

these are great, they take 3 AA batteries and are easy to program up to 4 stations and have the ability to install a soil moisture sensor

Good product. However, o ring, which keeps the timer from admitting water, is almost impossible to replace. After a couple of years the o ring becomes brittle and needs replacing. Possibly, if I bought a set of 100, one might fit! Orbit directed me to the usual hardware stores. Nobody has one this size.Had to buy a new timer as the old one was corroded. I'll put a plastic bag over it and hope for the best.Orbit could include replacement 0 rings in their packaging if they'd like to keep their customers. Only problem I've had with this product.

First one I bought lasted 7 years. This one lasted 7 months. The screen went out and it started watering on days it was not supposed to. I tried new batteries, resets, making sure it was dry, reprogramming, etc... It shows odd characters on screen so cant be programmed. Like everything else, they dont make them like they used to. Sad. Horrible Customer service from Orbit. Says warranty 12 months but after 35 min on phone with outsourced support in Belize, they say out of stock at Orbit while Amazon has it in stock. They will not ship from Amazon. They say I have to wait for Orbit to make more at warehouse. Only support is a kid in Belize or AI Bot Chat. No people from Orbit to talk to. I will not buy another Orbit product. No Support available.
