These traps have isolated many bugs and none have made it to the bed they are protecting.

We ordered these because our neighbor's child came over and we found a bed bug on him. Until that point we had not seen a bed bug any where in our house. Of course we did a lot a researching the issue and we acted quickly. Placed this order the next day and started following the cleaning steps we found online while waiting for the shipment.When I received the package, I opened it to find some generic looking boxes incasing the traps. Nothing wrong with that but I wanted to mention so you would know what to expect. I opened the product boxes and found the traps individually wrapped and pre powdered. If you don't already know, don't disturb the powder in the trays, it has been placed there to help trap the bed bugs. My first impressions were that the plastic is thick and durable. The design matches the picture and I believe the design will be effective. There are nubs in the middle part of the trap where the bed legs rest, I assume this will help keep the bed from moving around while getting in and out.They are not nearly big enough for my king size bed frame, solid wood bedroom set. However, they will work with smaller more standard sized legs. The outer channel (the portion that traps the bugs) is narrow at one point and gradually gets wider until the widest point on the opposite side. This allows you to move your bed very close to the wall as it claims in the description. Personally, I did not move the bed back where it would touch the wall, but the narrow side of the trap allowed me to move the bed as close as I wanted to, which keeps the functionality of the room that we are used to when considering floor spaceThe good news is that we never did see another bed bug and we are glad to say that we are not sure if the traps actually work or not. I gave them a 4 star review because I believe they are of good construction and the method is a sound way to assess the situation, but they are not large enough for my bed. These were the largest ones I could find and I would not have bought any smaller for any of our other beds anyway. I would suggest buying the largest ones you can find unless you have cast iron frame or similar smaller legs.If you believe you may have bed bugs then this is a good way to start. Read up on the issue by searching the internet and doing your research and then formulate a plan based on what you learned.

Excellent product, but you must know how to use it. First, you should dust it with a good coating of baby powder. That will prevent bed bugs from escaping from the trap. Second, check the traps every few days, and remove (and kill!) any bedbugs. (I use a tweezers to pull them out of the trap.) Most important of all, if you use this on your bed,you should place masking tape on the innermost vertical edge of the trap. That way the bedbugs can crawl up and fall into the narrow channel of the trap, where they get caught. If you don't install masking tape, then the bedbugs will be able to crawl back up into your bed! However, do not use masking tape if you place this on any other furniture. (dressers which contain clothing) because you want to isolate the bedbugs as much as possible, so they wont spread to other rooms in your house. ,

I was hoping these would work as advertised, but alas I put one in an controlled environment for a test and yes it will keep a full bedbug, but as it finishes consuming it's meal it can then again climb the walls and escape to feed again.Of course I saw some of the reviews where there are pictures of broken ones that frankly look like someone put them down upside down and then stuck a bed on top of them breaking the center of them, but having ceramic tile floors I had no problems with breakage.And I saw reviews where people complained about them arriving in their original packaging for all to see what you are getting, but my first order came shipped with other items so it was discreet... But when I ordered some more you guessed it, regular factory box with a shipping label stuck on it and it was delivered to my house by an associate of who I work for and that knows where I work, So yeah I was not a happy camper about that.After receiving the second order I noticed I still was not finding any in the traps so that is when I put them to a controlled test with a bug found in the bed after installation, and that is when I found that lightweight ones can climb through them, but heavyweight ones cannot.I would definitely like them if they would keep all offenders from going in or out, and if they were shipped in discreet packaging, but as they are I would suggest trying your money on something different.

All 4 came dirty with a white powder in them, assuming someone fixed their bug problem and returned once done.. gross.

It took me a while to fully understand these traps and while I haven't seen any bedbugs actually "trapped", they do seem to be an awesome deterrent and do actually prevent the bus from getting on the bed. They're wife enough to fit the legs of my bed and the legs of my headboard in one trap. Also, some traps are flat with strong adhesive on them, making them dangerous for pets and little ones, annoying for everyone else. These don't have that, which also means unless they crack/break, they'll last longer and need replacing less often.Of note: they only work if all linens and pillows are kept of the floor. If the bugs are in the floor and sheets drape far enough to touch the floor or pillows are kept on the floor near/next to the bed, the bugs will have a new path onto the bed, defeating the point of the traps.Also, I used this with many other anti-bed bug items for a comprehensive approach: Natural bed bug killer spray, delux vacuum, hand-held industrial streamer, anti-bed bug mattress and pillow protectors, and vacuum storage bags for pillow/fabric storage.Watch a few how-to videos online and pick what fits your needs/family the best.

Ya las chinches no suben a la cama, hay q separar la cama de otros muebles y paredes para q su única opción sea meterse en las trampas. Muy contenta y más tranquila.

J'ai utilisé ces pièges pendant une année pour protéger mon lit dans un appart sur-infesté (assez violent )Très efficace, j'ai mis une barrière a chaque pieds de mon lit, et je pouvais enfin dormir le soir sans me faire manger.Je changeais pas la terre de diatomée a tt les coup, donc certains arrivaient a passer la barrière sans conséquences mais c'était assez rare.Mais couplée avec des pièges efficace, c'est un très bon investissement.
