no where on the does it say "made in a nuit facility" until you open up the instrustions.
no where on the does it say "made in a nut facility" until you open up the instrustions I had this sent to my 4 year old grandson for a birthday gift. They opened it up and no where did it mention a nut facility, UNTIL we opend the instrucitons. My grandson is HIGHLY allergic (carries an epipen). I had to take it off of him.

An evening of fun, but pricey
As my six year old daughter is an avid reader of Highlights and she wanted to learn how to bake, I thought this kids baking kit would be perfect for her. When it arrived, she was excited to get started. The kit was boxed well and included everything you need except the perishables, an egg and butter. The instructions are fun and easy to use, and the included activity book made time pass quickly while we waited for the dough to firm in the fridge. All of the messages in the kit were very positive and uplifting. The ingredients were a bit inferior to what I normally buy, but that’s to be expected with a kit like this. Although the cookies didn’t taste the best, my daughter still had lots of fun doing the activities and baking. My only gripe would be that the kit is a bit overpriced for the quality of the ingredients. I would still recommend this baking set for a one time evening of fun – my daughter had a blast.

Obviously priced high but overall cute kit
I came across this Baketivity set and thought it would be a fun idea for a rainy day for the kids to make. Plus it’s made by Highlights magazine! So that’s cool!Last weekend it was rainy and cold so I busted this kit out and let my kids ages 8 and 6 go at it. They really didn’t need much help from me at all, mostly just finding mixing bowls and getting the ones ready. I also double checked some measurements before they combined them. But really they were able to do the bulk of the work themselves which is awesome! The cookies actually were not bad tasting. Not amazing, but not horrible. The kids of course were over the moon that they made these themselves and thought they were the best cookies ever.So my final thoughts. Obviously this is really overpriced. The dry ingredients you can get in bulk at the store for legit a few dollars. But even with that being said the kids had a blast and really liked that the directions were easy for them to follow. Overall it’s a fun activity for a kid! 4 stars!

Convenient
This kit is super convenient to use for a fun holiday activity with kids. It comes well packaged and could make up a good gift too.The cookies come ready and are baked. The frosting is nice and comes handy. Though I did buy additional set of frosting for more fun!In all the set is easy to use and perfect for holidays.

Bringing back family time in a sweet way
Yes, you can get a box of supermarket cookie mix or roll of cookie dough cheaper, but that's not the intent with this. With this baking kit you get easy to follow instructions (with tips to make gluten-free or dairy-free versions), pre-measured ingredients, a Highlights magazine, a heart-shaped cookie cutter, and quality time spent with the youngsters in your life. Not included: the butter and 1 egg you'll need, but those can be found in most fridges, anyway.FYI: there is a note that kit ingredients were produced in a facility that processes nuts, sesame seeds, soy and gluten. This was a fun and easy project for my 5 year-old and I. The cookies are yummy and can be a lovely homemade gift from your child to a relative, neighbor, family friend, etc. There's nothing like teaching a child to make food for others with love. And the Highlights magazine provides some reading material and fun games well after the cookies have been eaten.I don't home school, but I could see this as a fun item for home school families. So, if you're looking for a tasty educational project with your kids that takes less than 2 hours, this is a fun pick. Plus, we all can work better on spreading kindness, yes?

Great gift for kids!
This was used as a gift for my niece who is almost 5 years old. With parental supervision she had a blast creating these cookies. The set came wonderfully packaged and wrapped. It was the best little Christmas gift. Inside included basically everything needed to create the cookies, and came with a darling heart shape cookie cut out and extra magazine that my niece loves! These cookies are the perfect intro to baking and gives kids confidence to decorate and make delicious creations. The price I think is justified for a really fun event and even includes a little magazine keepsake! Love it

What a fun and engaging project for the kids
We just finished making this kit with our daughters ages 6 and 8 and it was so much fun. It comes in a beautifully boxed kit with everything you need except the butter and egg, everything else is there. We decided to only add half of the second bag of sprinkles to the actual cookie mix so that they had plenty to cover their cookies in frosting and sprinkles which worked out perfectly. While we waited for the dough in the fridge to give it time to firm up we did the included activity book which allows the kids to do a few projects including making a love sloth and they had so much fun creating this. It's full of uplifting insights and reasons to be kind. We ended up delivering the cookies to our neighbors and the girls were so proud and happy. I couldn't be more satisfied with a kit. This was the perfect project and Highlights does a great job at not only engaging the kids but keeping it on a positive, uplifting note. The cookies taste great too. Very good kit, I've had some that haven't been that great but this is 5 stars and above. Would purchase again in a heart beat. Very pleased with it.
