This is exactly what I was hoping for
I am a model builder and bought this for that purpose only. I really liked the idea of a small, light unit that would be quieter, handier, and take up less space than a large compressor and hose; something I could use more quickly and with less noise and bulk for basic coverage tasks while using a heavier rig for the more demanding jobs.Everything came neatly packed and there was almost nothing to assemble. I just put on the smallest gravity cup, charged the compressor for about 3 and a half hours, and it was showtime. This says it's a 3-tip which is a medium spray stream, but I was hoping it would make a thinner spray line with low pressure and thin paint. I tried to show on the two pictures of the 1/48 airplane fuselage halves how much I could easily get it down to and I was pleased to get this spray width from a 3-tip. I used Testors enamel thinned one to one and the compressor on the lowest of the 3 settings. I wanted model builders to be able to see what it will do on a model. One picture of a fuselage half shows that it can probably be used for some preshading in 1/48 or 32, which is very popular right now. The other fuselage half I tried to show on the tail that it can also be used to lay down a camouflage scheme in 1/48 if you work at it. That's better than just general coverage for model building use. I also provide before and after pictures of some parts I used this airbrush to prepaint before assembly, which is what I really wanted this for, to begin with. Remember, these pictures are from the very first time I have ever used it and I could probably do better with a little practice with it.The compressor has a very good range of 3 settings that provide lower or higher air pressure. I can tell you this is a really good airbrush for general coverage, prepainting, clear coats, and primer coats. It will also do some preshading and camouflage in 1/48 if you work with it. I want model builders who wonder about one of these and if it would work for them to know that, yes, it will, nicely.I used enamel paint because I am comfortable with it and I didn't want to have to prime first, though this airbrush will prime nicely. This brush was clearly made to run water-based and acrylic paints as the instructions say it is rustproof and you can immerse this airbrush in water for cleaning. The one downside to this is that the compressor starts to get hot after about 20-30 minutes and the instructions say to shut the compressor down after 30 minutes of continuous use to let it cool for a few minutes before resuming to extend the life of the compressor. They say it is good for about an hour of use on one charge. But, krud, it's a hand-held compressor with no hose or power cord, so that's not much downside. I'm really happy with it. I can't speak to longevity since I just got mine and used it for the first time, but I hope I've been able to give you an idea of what it will do if you're considering buying one, especially if you're a model builder like I am. This would be excellent as a starter set, too.

Love the paint cup choices. Could use some better instructions for beginners.
I'm a complete novice with airbrushing. I selected this airbrush because operation sounded relatively simple and, primarily, because it offered 3 different size of paint cups (10 ml, 20 ml, 40 ml). I need an airbrush for painting crafts, I really wanted to have a large cup option. This is a really attractive kit. The packaging is top-notch and the brush itself looks very fancy, especially with the jeweled compressor switch and rose gold finish. While the aesthetic is probably more important for airbrushing makeup in a salon, I do like that I can look somewhat elegant while spraying acrylic paint on miniature houses. The build seems like it is good quality. It has a nice weight to it, but not too heavy to hold comfortably in one hand. It does not operate like other dual-action airbrushes I had watched videos on prior to purchase. The air blows constantly at the press of the button on the barrel. The trigger on top only controls the paint flow. So, you can't control both from the same spot with one finger, but with my thumb near the air compressor button and my index finger on the trigger, it worked just fine for me. There are 3 different compressor speeds. The unit charged in a reasonable amount of time and I'm still on my first charge. I should be able to get enough use on a charge to complete a few projects. The 40 ml cup holds plenty of paint when I need to use primarily 1 color. It will be nice to have the smaller cups for accent colors. Cleanup on the first uses has been pretty easy, but I was paranoid about washing it immediately to avoid clogs. I did like that it mentions in the instructions that you can remove the airbrush from the compressor and immerse the entire top in water if you can't clean it immediately. I'm sure I'll be trying that soon because it isn't always convenient to stop mid-project to go clean the unit.Being a beginner, I suspect some of the issues I've had on my first tries have mainly been operator error. I'm getting used to mixing paint to the right consistency and how to best adjust the flow rate and compressor speed. I've had some paint splatters as I try to figure out the best settings, which can be a little frustrating. There are also some cleaning brushes and other items included in the kit that the instructions don't mention the best way to use. I would have appreciated a few more paragraphs in the manual to describe what everything in the kit can be used for and to give some more guidance for how to avoid splatter and adjust the spray. If this isn't your first airbrush, these things are probably not an issue. For me, I'll have to do some more outside research and a little more trial and error.Overall, a very nice kit for starting out. Just be prepared to figure out the finer points on your own.

Awesome Little Tool
My husband puts together lots of miniatures and loves to paint them as well. I bought this air brush for him to use as he had only had an old clunky one that he received many years ago. He was so astonished that something so small could be so effective with painting his miniatures. It takes some time to charge by usb and doesn’t need to be plugged in to work which is nice. After a while of using it, the airbrush seemed to get clogged up a lot and the battery didn’t seem to last very long. After much trial and error and even YouTube videos, he was able to get it unclogged and was able to use it for a while. The set itself, comes with tools to help clean out any clogs and so on which was nice. I rather like the design of the airbrush. I wish it came in more colors and that the battery lasted longer. The noise it makes is so much better than the older version we have which has to stay plugged in. It seems durable enough as long as you aren’t going crazy with it. I think it’s a good value for the price as not everyone is prepared to pay a ton for a professional airbrush. As I mentioned above, it worked great and had a nice spray until it kept clogging up. I would say it all boils down to experience and knowing how to use it and clean it properly. Overall, I would recommend this airbrush for anyone wanting to try their hand at airbrushing.

Isn't threaded properly
The media could not be loaded. My gun won't even attach to the compressor. It's not threaded correctly. Submitted a claim. Will update depending on how they handle it but it has 3 stars for now because it looks and feels nice. The compressor isn't very loud. So that's good.
