GET IT BEFORE YOUR CHILD START LEARNING FRENCH OFFICIALLY, OR GET IT AS A SUPPLEMENT!
If your child is planning to take French lessons in any form this will let them get used to it.Weather they will follow the material in an organized manner or if you just pop it in and let play in the car or at your home, they will get used to the rhythm of the language, the melody and the sound. It is also good!Any exposure to the language is wonderful and will pay off later. If your child is taking or just starting to learn, this will help with it a lot!I love the set and my kids were absolutely mesmerized by it and often asked for it to be played. Some time later they are fluent speakers and when they look back at this set, they alwaysremember it with great sentiment and speak of how valuable it was to get them started.

Love It! Great Book For Kids Or Adults Learning Spanish In A Fun Way!!
I love this book with the 3 CD's, great way to learn French, lots of audio including songs, lots of fun games and activities. This is the best French book I have gotten so far. The workbook that goes with it, is not much, I probably wont use it, it has around 16 pages, but the book that goes with it has around 73 pages, the book is nice, all the pages are in color and has a lot of fun learning inside.I am an adult learning French and I wanted to do it in a fun easy way.I also purchased the book I can read & Speak in Frency by Maurice Hazan this book is really good too. Each word in the book is a picture and you use the pictures to speak your sentences. Im glad I purchased both of these items! These books would also be great for young children who want to learn French.

Almost perfect.
Yes, it is a good start. The quality of audio could be better a bit, but most of the software, DVDs, CDs suffer from the same problem. I wonder how come the Japanese language is made so much more easy to hear and pick up the words than French?! Oh, I guess, because the Japanese are obsessed with a high quality sound and make good audios. There is a room for improvement, but this French has the right idea behind the system it teaches French, so we gave it 4 stars. Keep looking for various software. We like MUZZY a lot by BBC, and guess what, the same audio quality problem. What's up with most French audio?!

Great Product
I was extremely impressed with this program for teaching young children French. When I began homeschooling my granddaughter, I decided to include a foreign language. Since I had taken French in college, I thought it would be a wonderful experience for her. The lessons are straight forward and the CD's are absolutely wonderful. All of the activities are fun for her to do and learning French is not a difficult task. She loves her French lessons and enjoys practicing it while listening to the lesson. I strongly urge anyone who want to expand their children's learning experience to include a foreign language to definitely purchase this product. I love teaching it and she loves learning it.

Not for ages 3+ as advertised
My kids enjoy the songs on the cds but I’m not very happy with the set in a whole. There are two tiny books for learning. One is black and white. Not to mention, the age that it’s focused on can’t read and then is beginning to read so it doesn’t quite make sense to give them a book that is almost all reading. It also feels very cramped into the pages so it can be small. This is a very basic beginning for ages 6+ at least.

Great language study program
My daughter is so thrilled with this. She is almost too old (she's in 6th grade), but she's really enjoying it anyway. She has never had any French experience but wanted to try. I bought it as part of a home school curriculum this year. I was amazed how much she picked up so quickly. On the first day she was able to say several sentences and respond to certain questions. She has really enjoyed it and learned a lot so far. It is helpful if a parent or other second person can be available at least some of the time. She has mostly done it alone, but some of the games take two people to play. They have been good for reinforcing vocabulary. They are very simple and effective. It has been well worth the price. I would gladly pay for additional volumes if any are available.

Too Complicated
Sorry, this program was too complicated and dull. The “teacher” has an aristocratic English accent instead of a friendly American accent. It is not an exciting program. Might work well for English children if there is someone to oversee the various parts of it. I did not use it.

Fantastic for learning
I bought this for myself and two daughters, ages 6 and 3. We play the CD's while doing art or cooking. We don't do the written exercises, but they are great too, probably best for ages 7+. In the first listening, about an hour while doing art, we learned how to say, "What is your name, my name is". The songs are catchy and fun. They are played a few times during the lesson, so they really sink in. We are learning slowly and playfully, but a dedicated student could move fast with these. Highly recommended!
