Excellent Self Improvement Method!
As someone who always starts things and rarely ends up finishing them or following through, these cards have helped me stick with it!They start of easy and really get you used to maintaining momentum before introducing more challenging tasks. I now actually enjoy trying to ensure I finish each one, so I can move on to the next. These cards have already really helped me with my mental health this year and the subtle improvements they have made to my day-to-day has been something I didn't think was possible from following a few simple rules and personal challenges to step outside my comfort zone.

What's not to like?
Nice thick cards, easy to stand alone against something but I chose to get a perspex magnetic frame to really make these stand out, and I think it does the trick well. All in all, a thoughtful set of cards, with nothing so scary you know you'll not be able to do it, but just enough out of comfort zones to make you think.I enjoy them and will do the easy 3 day option on Year 1 and the harder option the following year.

Amazing- a must buy for a reset
A well put together set of tasks to complete. Would recommend to anyone who feels like they are stuck in a rut! Great quality but more importantly great content. X

Good for those with mental health issues
I was nervous excited (more excited) to get these in and going. I do have GAD, which is going to make some areas really challenging, especially social categories. Furthermore, I also have ME/CFS, so I'm expecting to not be able to do some and have to adjust others. The introduction cards are useful and it kind of felt like I'd joined a course. It was really tempting to look through the cards, but I didn't want to scare myself off, so I tackled one at a time. That said, I did have a quick look through at the bottom to see the different categories in the easy ones and for those with social anxiety, you'll be pleased to know that the cards ease you in and there's only 1 out of 15 in these early ones that is social. The first card was a 3 day commitment and to listen to podcasts. I learnt things and had a reminder that 1. Removing bad habits is just as important as adding good ones. 2. Meditation and media consumption and 3. Willingness - ride the cravings through. What I really like is that these challenges are just for a short time period and it doesn't feel overwhelming with a sense of dread that I'm trying to do this forever. This also allows me to really see the benefit of each one and I've even continued doing one of them when I can.I did have a peak at one of the later cards and noticed a mistake. Number 38 refers to challenge 9, but this should be 7. Don't be afraid to take breaks, in fact, I think there should be pointers in the cards for this and reminders. I've completed up to and including challenge 7. Most of them have been three days long, but for someone with ADHD, I'm currently struggling to stay motivated and keep on track, hence I think I'll be doing these here and there. For the easy ones so far, I've found them gentle and as I suffer with mental health issues, they've been useful and I'm grateful they're not hard hitting straight off. They're also a reminder of things that most of us already know to do.

I feel its a bit of a gimmick. Somewhat ridiculous.
These so called challenges to get people out of their comfort zone just seem feeble to me. Some of them are not challenges. Lots of them are just motivating people to do something that they should probably have done months ago. It's very similar to cleaning cobwebs from a lamp shade. It won't kill you to have cobwebs on your lampshade. It's good to clean the cobwebs. But you won't feel more confident because your lamp shade is cleaner.I get what this is and I do hope it helps some people out. But I don't see how giving your possessions away or making a shower cold, is taking you outside of your comfort zone.

A Very Unique Method to Personal Growth
A Very Unique Method to Personal GrowthI have been reading personal growth and positive mental attitude books for around 30 years; they are a great way to pep you up a bit when you are feeling a little low. Some of it stays with you and some you have to remind yourself of once in a while when life's challenges seem too much.It doesn't matter how positive a person you are, we are all susceptible to the same moods, good and bad, so even the most positive person will have down days; the only difference is how we react to them. There are common threads that run through all these books, recordings and methods, and as with all things some of us will enjoy one thing and some will enjoy another. Some of these common threads are addressed on these cards. These "Cards Beyond Comfort" are a great way to try to get yourself out a rut. The cards are aimed at three levels of difficulty, easy, medium and hard, you progress through from 1 to 52, in the event you feel you have to skip a card, you should go back and do it at a later date. The challenges on the cards are accessible to everyone, but not everyone will find them easy, that is their purpose, to make us stretch beyond our comfort zones to help us grow. What some won't see as a challenge, others will. This is not a short term thing, many of the cards have a duration of days that you need to do the task for, even though it may only be 15 minutes a day, so when you start using these, try to commit to them; if you give it your all and believe that you can do it, I am sure that you will. This is a well designed and unique idea that is a nice change to reading a book.Within the cards there are a good variety of things to get you to go outside of your comfort zone in three areas, mental (such as writing a gratitude list at the beginning of the day), social (such as smiling at everyone you interact with or walk past) and physical (such as drinking a cup of green tea during the day). Each card lists the benefits of the task on the back, along with the instructions and rules (see some examples in the photos that I have attached to this review).Cards Beyond Comfort come beautifully packaged, the box is about the size of a small, but thick, paperback book. It is a quality box that holds them together well, each card is 12.5 cm x 7.5 cm approximately and is thick, good quality card. These seem good value for money to me.I have only just received these, and I cannot wait to start using them, but I was so impressed I wanted to review them straight away for their potential, I hope that you will feel the same way about them that I do, and I wish you great things on your onward journey.
