My fourth bought tube so far
Love this product. Works really well as a leave in creams after washing to detangle my straight rather thick hair with hands before combing and blow dry. I normally use 1/2-1 spoonful of cream on my hair ends after every wash. Also works well as heat protection - need to apply before blow dry and curling/straightening.I’ve been using this in combination with Pro Longer shampoo, conditioner and mask for more than three years - all worth every penny spent as they allowed my hair to grow healthy, shiny and long with almost no split ends.P.s My husband just loves the smell of my hair with this cream!

Love this
I have waist length fine hair which is prone to tangling. After I’ve towel dried my hair, without brushing, I separate my hair in half and apply a small amount of product through the lengths. Leave it for 5 minutes then brush through. No tangles and barely any hair in my brush ! I will always buy this !

The ingredients are DIFFERENT than the USA product. Not specifically heat protecting.
So, I noticed that the UK website does not refer to this as having heat-protecting properties, BUT the USA website says this product has heat protection. So, I decided to break down the ingredients and found that there were differences in the UK product vs the USA product. At the bottom I have added what ChatG has told me about the ingredients and their heat resistance properties. I was really hoping to not need to use an extra heat barrier/ extra heat resistance, so the difference between the L’oreal UK vs USA website had me scratching my head. All the details below, but in summary, I would only use this in a pinch for pre-blowdrying or pre-styling, but given that the website doesn’t say (unlike the USA) one, that it “protects from heat up to 230C”, and given that the ingredients list is different, I won’t be using this regularly without adding a heat protector before blow-drying/ curling properly. I really hope this has been helpful to someone!!Ingredients in UK version not found in US version:Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladpate-2Citric AcidTetrasodium EDTAIngredients missing from UK version, found in US version:Quaternium-33Trideceth-6 in US - (Troceth-6 on UK list?)* These are smoothing and a chemical to mix oil based and water based products better across the hair.Ingredients found in both UK and USA versions: (research on the ingredients is below)Cetearyl alcohol**. They form barriers, lock in moisture, and offer some protection against heat damage.Importantly:- Heat protection from these ingredients depends on a few factors: how much of them are in the formula, how they’re applied, and how you use heat tools. This has me concerned, why hasn’t the UK website listed it as heat-resistant? Less of those ingredients? But I can give you a general idea.- 1. Amodimethicone:- • Provides a protective coating that helps reduce water loss and shield the hair cuticle.- • It’s commonly found in heat-protectant products designed to defend against temps up to 200°C (392°F).- • It doesn’t block heat completely but minimizes damage from moisture evaporation and cuticle cracking.- 2. Aminopropyl Triethoxysilane- • This is often used in bond-building and strengthening treatments.- • It helps fortify hair fibers so they’re more resistant to thermal damage.- • It’s effective up to about 230°C (446°F) in some formulations, especially when combined with silicones like Amodimethicone. So, in summary, I would use this in a pinch for pre-blowdrying or pre-styling, but given that the website doesn’t say (unlike the USA) one, that it “protects from heat up to 230C”, and given that the ingredients list is different, I won’t be using this regularly without adding a heat protector before blow-drying/ curling properly.
