Honey Keeper Honey Strainer Double Sieve #304 Stainless Steel Beekeeping Equipment Mesh Filter Screen

I bought this to strain my large batches of bone broth before pressure canning and it worked excellently for the purpose. The small filter size kept herb and vegetable particles out of the finished broth. It's not achieving a perfectly clear broth, but that's fine with me because I don't aim for that. I imagine it would perform well as a honey strainer although I don't have bees so won't be testing. It was very easy to clean, I did wash and dry by hand, and it stores quite compactly with the rest of my canning supplies.

I use it in my coffee bean cooler when I'm roasting, but it also works well for straining my freshly extracted honey too. I looked a several on amazon, but this one won my affection. I like it and recommend it.

The screen part of this does not cover the entire mouth of a five-gallon bucket, although the frame will hold it over the mouth well enough. This gives the beekeeper less room to work, and prevents as much honey from being processed at any given time. However, it's very sturdy and easy to clean.

This is truly a great product for straining honey. It works exactly like it is supposed to. It could be a little wider and deeper, but this appears to be the standard size.
