Good book to support a basic intro

This is the wrong book,I'm returning it

I used the IBSN provided by my grad school for this book. This book is just under 300 pages and the edition i needed is 550 pages. This book will reference pages for information, and then when you turn to that page it is completely irrelevant. This book also references a DVD multiple times that is not provided
