Works great, easy to mount and clean.

I bought 2 of these, one to mount in the garage and one outdoors. I went with the poly brush holder as opposed to wood since it would be exposed to outdoor conditions. After several months it seems to be holding up well to the elements. Bristles are stiff, do a good job of kicking out mud, dirt and grass in the treads. Width of the brush holder is ample, easily accepts work boots and the scraping feature is good for excess mud. The sides have some flex and allow you to bend in and out a bit if you want a tighter or looser fit. I highly recommend for the price.

Good for cleaning my shoes/boots after feeding the animals or gardening. I wish the little flanges in the sides were a bit bigger.

As suggested in another review, I mounted this shoe cleaner on a piece of wood that allows one to stand on one end of the wood while cleaning the other shoe. The bristles on this cleaner are stiff and do an excellent job getting the dirt out. The bristles on the sides are an extra bonus. Excellent product.

Bought this mainly to place outside our camper to clean our boots after a day of hiking before going inside. Screwed this to a board to make it more stable, works exactly as we had hoped.

Works well. Been using this just over a month. I ordered it b/c I'm building a paver patio and stone stairs so my boots get covered in dirt and sand. I keep this unfastened by the door so I can move it around as need be. I keep one foot on the small wing on each side to hold it down as I slide my other foot back and forth between the bristles. It'd be nice if the wings you put the screws through were slightly bigger so I could keep it down easier, but thats not what they're intended for; they're intend to be used to screw down. It works though, so.....

I liked this item for the first 6 - 8 months after I got it. Then all of the bristles on the bottom brush started breaking off. For a $29.00 item, offering the opportunity to purchase replacement brushes would have earned this 5 stars.

I've been looking for a shoe-and-boot brush like this one for a couple of years: most I've seen have been overpriced and under-featured. The bottom brush on this one has bristles that are long enough to dislodge grit and sand and not get clogged, as do similar shoe-cleaners with short bottom bristles. The frame is simple, with four little rubber "feet" on the bottom, in addition to two mounting screws, and the brushes are attached in a way that should make replacement of them easy when the original ones wear out.(It seems to me that for people who have to deal with *heavy* mud on their shoes, a separate scraping blade would be a good idea; the blade on this cleaner is only about half an inch high, and using it would leave a lot of sticky mud on the bottom brush. Since my aim is to keep the sand and gritty soil caught in the soles of my hiking shoes out of my house, this brush is perfect for me.)[Update: The bottom bush didn't wear out for three years of daily use! I replaced it today (July '17), so I'm set for another three years. The side brushes look like they have at least a couple of years in them. It's so nice to find a product that does its job . . . and keeps on doing it!]
