C and F setting, is accurate to 2 degrees C I'd say. Good cheap option.

I have tried SO many thermometers throughout the years without much success. Decided to try these when my slider turtle became ill and it was critical that I maintain a steady, warm environment in which he had the best chance to recover. Have now been using these in his setup for over 3 months. (He's better now.) They are pretty accurate, differing on average by a mere .2 degrees between each other. The display is large enough to see, even without my glasses. I admit it would be nice if they were backlit, but at this price, I'm certainly not complaining. Speaking of complaints, here's my only one:. I can't get the suction cups to stay attached to the sides of his tank for any decent length of time. They just float around, as far as their wires will allow. My poor 54 year old turtle keeps thinking the wires and sensors are food and keeps biting at them. Not good. In all fairness, I should mention that his setup is made of a Rubbermaid-type material and not glass. However, the suction cups wouldn't hold the unit to the wall either, despite being affixed to ceramic tile. I had to attach them to the wall using doubled-over packing tape on the back.But, as far as accuracy, these are great and I would definitely buy these again.

Got these for my leopard gecko's tank because my old thermometer was super inaccurate. So far (I've had them in for about 20 minutes now) they seem to be accurate, I put them both next to each other and the two read generally the same temperature, maybe a .1 or .2 degree difference which isn't bad. One of the suction cups for the probe doesn't seem to want to stick as well as the other, but i have one suction cup for the monitor on the outside of the tank and it has been holding up without falling. The cord for the probes are very long and thin enough where I can fit it under the screen top of my gecko's tank, and they seem to be made well. I can definiteoy say that I ak mostly happy for the quality thus far, the 4 stars is just because of the one suction cup not working very well, I would give 4.5 if I could since that issue isn't the end of the world for me since I have the cord short enough where the probe isn't in the way even when it is sitting off the side of the tank a little.

Pros:It tells the temperature with more accuracy, precision, and range than stick on thermometers.It's the exact same device as from other stores that sell it for twice as much or more.It does come with a spare battery.Cons:The suction cups aren't great. They don't hold on to the glass well, and neither one (on the probe or main unit) hold the thing they're supposed to hold very well.The battery cover just doesn't seem to close right. It closes, but never seems like it's closed properly.Overall it does feel pretty cheaply made.Summary:I wouldn't let the cons stop me from recommending these. They're relatively minor annoyances that can be remedied. At the end of the day, they do what they're supposed to do, and I feel satisfied with the purchase.

A good product but doesn't suction well out of water. I haven't tried it in water lol but I bet the suction will work in water. works well, but they give you a lot of cord for it which can be good and bad. the cord is too long for my liking but its better to have a cord to long then too short i guess. No but honestly on this product i would prefer to have a shorter cord.

I was needing to monitor the temperature of an outside device during the last Storm URI that hit the Texas coast. This arrived and is amazing in that it worked for me during the ice storm and snow in Houston, TX. I used it to read an insulated box that was heated by a light bulb and also something to monitor my pond temperatures. This just kept working period! I am impressed!

I used the Neptonian Thermometer for incubating the eggs my Red Ear Slider layed in her pool, They were accurate,consistant,and the temperature was always nice and clear without any glitches.I had two baby turtles hatch 3 days ago and i couldn't have done it without these and i highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable thermometer,Because these are definitely it.
