This product is literally the OtterBox defender without the branding. The rubber buttons on my OtterBox case wore and tore so I got this and I am using the original OtterBox hard case part and this rubber part and it fits perfectly and works as designed.

Excellent protection for and old phone.

The case seemed nice. The hard plastic pieces that attached to one another were a pain to open, and than the plastic pressed on the corners of my screen protector and pulled up the corners. It was frustrating. Returned it for an otterbox instead. Much happier!

Although my phone was listed for this cover it does not fit properly. The screen saver keep coming up at the corners. I took it to a Verizon store and had them look at it. They said since the case was a generic and made to fit multiple phones that was pretty normal that it didn't fit right. I only ordered because it said Otter Box. Fine print said "like" Otter Box.

I was really excited to get this case, but I'll be going back to my old case after this! The case was rather difficult to disassemble to put it on the phone, and when we finally did, it fit against the screen so strangely that it ended up lifting the corners of my screen protector (Mr. Shield - no other case has made my screen protector do this), which forced me to take it off as we couldn't get it re-sat on the screen.That was just the beginning. The cover over the charging port is awkward and clumsily formed, and when you have a cord in to charge, it pushes the rubber up weirdly at the bottom. If it had had a thinner bit of rubber as the 'hinge', this would have flipped up better. As it is, you are just kind of shoving it out of the way. Granted, the cover over the charging port does close securely.And now the thing that made the case unusable for me... It hurts my hands! The edge of the case is textured and kind of ridged, and when I hold my phone sideways to play a game, it rubs painfully against my fingers no matter how I adjusted my hold. I play a lot of games in that position, and my case being uncomfortable to hold is a deal breaker. The rubber is just textures in an unpleasant way in general. Holding the phone normally, your thumb rubs against the rubber edge, and it's gritty feeling and unpleasant.I had high-hopes for this case as it looked really nice, but there were too many things I disliked that ended up being deal breakers, so I will be returning it.

Fit phone just like a glove

I have had the case for at least a year and I must tell you, my phones are abused in the worst ways imaginable. I was getting groceries from my car and sat my phone down on the back window I forgot I had put my phone there and closed the trunk when I realized my phone was missing I went to find it. The phone was wedged between my truck and the back window .... literally I closed the trunk on my phone and the only damage was to the case. This case is amazing it for sure has saved my phone a lot.Update: rip phone case 03/08/2019-2/09/2022So i finally have a picture of the case and the damage it suffered after shuting the cars trunk on it and the the last drop that finally broke the case for good. Ps phone is still completely undamaged

I ordered 5 cases to compare. Let me start by saying I love my Otterbox Commuter for my old phone. Dropped it many times on concrete, it bounces, kept my phone looking and functioning new for 4 years. However, Otterbox's selection for A50 is slim. Tried the Otterbox Symmetry, which I liked, but getting on/off is too difficult and I'm afraid just doing that is going to break my phone, so it's going back. Also tried the Unicorn Beetle pro series, but it's just hard molded plastic, no cushioning, and slippery plastic feel. Tried Ownest, but it doesn't feel protective enough (too thin, also feels plastic and slippery). Also tried Maikezi soft brushed protective case, but it turned out to be just a thin skin of silicone, not thick enough to provide any protection. Definitely keeping the MXX Heavy Duty Case, fits great, easy to press buttons, dust cover for plugs, hard inner shell, soft silicone outer layer which is think enough to provide the same protection as my old otterbox. Also feels great in the hand, the silicone is easy to hold and there's a bit of texture on the sides for an easy grip.

I really like this case, it came so fast. It fits very nicely! The rubber feel is perfect for non slip. It really protect the phone and super handy to have the port hole covers as well. If it drops I wont panic because it is a nice rubber protectant. The color is just so perfect too!! (Plum) Thank you!
