Indiana Jones, Little Boy Style
It is so exciting to watch little boys engage with text! Eric Wright really gets the heart of what boys are looking for. The hero in these stories is a young boy, and the text is part in comic format, and part in prose so it keeps the reluctant reader moving along. My 9 year old grandson is a good reader, and he couldn't wait to dig into this one after reading Frankie Pickle and the Pine Run 3000. His 7 year old sister read and enjoyed it as well. Another winner!

Frankie saves the day
I ordered this book for my 9yr old. He was looking for a fun book this year for his Reading Fair Project and Frankie Pickle seem to fit perfectly. He enjoyed reading it so much, he read it twice. He loved how the comic book inserts were added. This was a great book at a good price.

A book to draw in readers
My third grade students think this book is hilarious! They love that Frankie has a vivid imagination portrayed in graphic novel form in parts of the book.

Good read
Good easy read book. My son is 9 and read it in about an hour. It's a shorter chapter book. He liked the story line and it was fun.

Perfect balance of text and pictures for reading to toddler
I read this several pages a night to my almost 5yo son, and he loved it. It strikes a good balance between lots of text that I'm reading, and lots of pictures to engage him. Specifically, it reads like a standard text for a couple pages, then turns into a graphic novel/comic for a couple pages, alternating back and forth like that. I ended up ordering the rest of this series too.

Fun story
Bought this one for my grandson, Frankie. I still read it to him. It's along the lines of the Wimpy Kid books with cartoons and fantasizing by the lead character. A good and funny story.

Not as expected but still fun.
I thought it would be cuter & more imaginative. Love the adventure art on the cover. Has a good moral story in the end.
