The previous volume of The Testament of Sister New Devil ended with Basara and his sisters ready for a fight with members of Basara's heroes' village who had orders to kill Mio. This volume is mostly the story of that fight and we see that our trio are good strategists who can think on their feet. It looks like it will come to a climax in the next volume. After the main story, we are treated to lighter fare in the form of a typical day in the life of Maria. For Maria, a "typical" day means berating Basara for having a souvenir that might inspire Mio to get undressed and do naughty things (a succubus worried about propriety?). On her way home from shopping, she has a run-in with Japan's Slit Mouthed Woman (guess who comes out the worse from that encounter?). So far, The Testament of Sister New Devil has yet to have a volume that disappointed me.
