Hiding in plain sight
While not a serious collector, I own and enjoy a variety of fine writing instruments. I often shop websites as well as brick-and-mortar stores for a new pen or mechanical pencil to try out.I've owned Parker Jotter pens before. I remember a metal-barrelled one I did not like because the grip was tiresome. I also had one of these plastic-barrelled ones but don't remember using it or where it's gone off to.When shopping, I often came across the Jotter pens. Because of previous experience and the notion that a $10 pen would be neither disposable nor special, I just overlooked them. Recently, during another browsing session, I again encountered some Jotter pens and they came into better focus: legendary status, simple beauty, good reviews, compatible with a world of refill options, and a price that would allow me to carry the pen without the anxiety of losing it.Upon receiving the pen, I was delighted by the writing experience. The grip on the plastic barrel is quite comfortable and suitable for extended use. The Quink cartridge makes for smooth contact with the paper. I may occasionally switch out to a gel refill for darker print. I like the heavy click mechanism and the fact that the plunge button is sprung even after the pen tip is extended. The metal ring on the tip of the barrel is a good idea; it will prevent the hole from wearing or stretching which would make it sloppy around the cartridge tip. The 5" length of the pen is also welcome. It conveys a "cuteness" and the clip will fully engage in any shirt pocket.Bottom line: my red Parker Jotter is now one of my favorite carry pens.

The best ball point pen since 1956
When I look at a Parker T-ball Jotter, I don’t just see a nice pen. I see the ferrule at the tip that keeps the pen’s barrel from deforming when used by a heavy hand over the years. I know the large ink supply inside makes each refill last longer.I know that “T-ball” stands for the texture on the surface of the ballpoint that allows it to grip difficult surfaces so it can continue to roll and lay down ink without skipping in a way that lesser pens don’t. I know the arrow-shaped clip that holds the pen to my shirt pocket is made of spring steel, is particularly strong, thick, and difficult to deform out of design specs. I know that clip has a shaped tip under the head of the arrow that makes it particularly difficult to dislodge from the hem at the top of my shirt pocket. All of these things add up to a well-made, well thought-out pen that hasn’t changed since 1956, and I know all this stuff about that pen because I have eyes and hands and a brain and I was taught how to use them.

Pen is good
The pen itself is comfortable and well-designed, but the ink quality is disappointing. It dries out if unused for an hour, leaving streaks on the paper. The size is decent, and the grip is fine at room temperature, though it gets slippery if your hands are cold. The pen's mechanics and overall functionality are acceptable : good value for the price.

Parkers Are Always My Favorite
This is my favorite pen. I look for one of the many I own for any writing. Great in hand, smooth writing, pretty on my desk. After working in the office supply industry for 15 years and having any pen I wanted I always end up looking for my Parker Jotters.

Want a great pen?
These are among the sturdiest pens on the market. You will never wear it out. Combine that with a super large refill, this is a great pen

The Cadillac of pens
Have you ever used a pen and found that your whole life had changed? Like there was your life before you used the pen, and then your life after you used it, and nothing else? This is that pen. From the first "click" of using this pen I was a new man. Before, my life was in shambles. I was in debt, sleeping in my car, and I lost my girlfriend. After, my credit score went up 150 points, all my old clothes magically turned into 3 piece suits, I got a job offer downtown in finance (that I never applied for, and had no qualifications for), and my girlfriend came back. We just got a puppy, named him Parker. Sorry, tmi. This pen is great. It's compact, writes smoothly with no smear, and is very durable since it has a metal casting. I will never not use Parker pens again.
